But why don't the club get a children's deal going for this game? Bit late now because prices are set but it's half term week, Derby match and the feel good factor is slowly returning. Kids for a quid would have been perfect, been down the ground today and quickest sales for any match this season. If you haven't got one then get on board 116 or the canton if you want noise  :bluescarf: :bluebird:

Got some lads from the canton who nine times out of ten kick things off in the canton joining us in 116 to ramp things up, more the merrier

I doubt 10,000 stay aways would turn up just because it's Bristol City, we barely had 23k when we were "good"

We had just under 15k for Wolves who took 1k (then closer to 13k ever since), but even then can we really win over 6-7000 fans for one "big" game? I wouldn't even call it a big game to be honest, our "derby" with Bristol City ended many years ago. We'd have a bigger turnout West Ham or Newcastle.

Interesting, the back to blue game vs Fulham I was wildly out on my prediction for that, you could be right there Jon

A televised game for a derby which lost its spark years ago. I think we'll have around 15,456.

I think we should stop fretting about our crowds. I was there in the 80's when only 2000 would turn up. Tan messed it all up with his rebrand when we had 26000 but thats all been and gone.
Those who go, want to be there which means they are loyal fans. Its gutting seeing the stadium under half full but at least those attending WANT to be there.
It is what it is. We are no different to most clubs.

If we get anywhere near 19,000 for the Bristol City game then we'll fill the stadium if we get promoted! Just proves how many glory hunters there were when we were in the Premier League!

I agree we shouldn't fret to much about the crowds as they are following a natural path which has affect many other clubs who have been relegated from the Premier League.

The rebrand would be a contributory factor but certainly not the only one or even the main one. As said Derby, Middlesbrough, Blackburn have all suffered similar drops in support after dropping out of the PL and none of them had rebrand issues.

If we are anywhere near the top 2 come April there will be the usual mad dash for season tickets for next year.

The club have to say "going well" to put a positive light on things! ;)

Personally, can't see more than 16k turning up (inc. Worzels) and Jon hits the nail on the head when he states that the only thing that will bring many back now is the Premier League

The previous incentive of 'join up or miss out' has pretty much gone when we have a half empty stadium (not counting the red stand) we simply don't need other than of international games and concerts!
