ITS RUBBISH IN MY OPINION, THOSE THAT SAY ASHLEY WILLIAMS GETS STICK OFF CARDIFF FANS.

My Opinion
Ashley Williams doesn't get stick from Cardiff fans when playing for Wales :ayatollah:

Personally I support the whole Welsh Team :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

How do you feel about which clubs Ash or the other players play for?

Annis, I've personally seen him get stick from some Cardiff fans in the stands. I'm not saying it's everyone, but it's certainly been a large number in the past.

Like many Welsh international footballers, he seems to play better for the national side than he does for his club. He's also proved me wrong when I didn't think he'd make it at Premier League level. I'll support him when he plays for Wales and abuse him when he plays for the Jacks against us. sounds like a fair compromise! :ayatollah:

Abusing your own players and own fellow supporters in any sport is stupid.

This team is 9th in the world, the top team in the UK based on today's rankings, any rivalries should be put on hold, and everyone should have a big party, and continue the party into France.

There will always be exceptions, but these should be marginalised by other fans.

Its not rubbish at all, Ive been near people quite often hurling abuse at him. Some of our fans are pathetic at times certainly around International, and the worrying thing is that some I have seen are not 16, 17, 18 year olds either and should know better!

Football is one of the most 'tribal' sports in the world and in South Wales it has taken to a different level in recent years, now that Swansea have 'established' themselves as a major rival to Cardiff City's once dominant position in Welsh football

Historically, there was never any real rivalry until c.1980 (can't remember the exact year) and the infamous 'Grandstand' fracas. It all seems to have kicked off from there; hence the reason some (shall we) more mature fans cannot let it it go!

Ashley Williams will inevitably get 'stick' whenever the two clubs meet, but on international duty he is part of your team and should be supported as such!

Wales FC are on the brink of achieving something that no one under the age of 60 will have seen before and supporters of the international team should put aside their differences and prejudices for the benefit of getting behind the team!

The wearing of club shirts at internationals is a little crass, too! ;)

Getting better with age. Without him we would be very weak in defence. Him & Chester have totally transformed what is possible with decent centre backs

He's a class player and we need to get behind him when he's playing for Wales. Cardiff City v Swansea is a completely different matter but we are all supporting Wales as one. No matter whether your a cardiff fan, Swansea fan, Merthyr fan, Newport fan etc etc we are one nation!

I don't go away with Wales, but go to all the home games. I've never seen Ashley Williams get any stick from our fans. Usually sit in the grandstand at the CCS. Wales crowds are different from CCFC ones.

He's a quality player who has proven many wrong, he's probably in the top half a dozen defenders in the Prem for consistency and has been a rock for Wales and excellent leader.
Jack or not, he always gets my full support when he wears the red shirt with such pride.
