Gayle on His Way to Fulham.

Sun Aug 02, 2015 12:02 pm

According to Sky, Dwight Gayle is signing for Fulham on a Season Long loan. I hope we at least attempted to bring him here. As he would be the exact type of goal scorer that we need up front. A player who had the pace to play on the shoulders of the defenders and a striker who would get at least 20 goals in the Championship. Would love to have seen Mason playing just behind him as a second striker, creating goals for Gayle and scoring goals himself. With Ameobi and Pilkington on the wings, then Ralls and Dickgacoi as the central midfielders. Would be a brilliant signing for Fulham, they will be dangerous next season with Gayle and McCormack playing either side of Matt Smith.

Fulham have the pull of also being based in London. We don't have that pull. Certain players love London and thats just the way it is.

Yeah, the deal works out well for Fulham, cause they are getting a brilliant goal scorer, it works well for Palace, cause they can keep a close eye on him and his progress and it works well for Gayle, cause he doesn't have to uproot and move to another City/Town and he can stay in the same house as he is living in now. The only difference is that Gayle has to drive a different route to work in the mornings and might get caught up in traffic jams on his way to another part of London, which is bugger all to complain about especially when he gets paid fantastically well. He probably earns more money during the time it takes him to travel from his house to the club, including traffic jams, in just one morning. When it takes 90% of the country their whole life to earn the same amount, as Gayle earned during that one, 30 minute car ride.
