Nottingham Forest eyeing move for ex-Cardiff City midfielder? - UPDATED ....
Nottingham Forest have been linked with a move for South Korean International Kim Bo-Kyung, reports the Nottingham Post.
The London 2012 Olympic bronze medalist is seeking interest from numerous Sky Bet Championship clubs after his release from recently relegated Wigan Athletic.
The former Cardiff City midfielder made 18 appearances for the Latics last season, scoring twice, before being released after their relegation from the Championship last season.
The 25-year-old already has a wealth of experience, accumulating 32 caps for his national side as well as the tough task of replacing former Manchester United star Park Ji-Sung in the side and achieving promotion with his former side Cardiff City.
It is believed that Sheffield Wednesday are leading the race for Kim Byo-Kyung with Reading and Forest both battling for his signature.
Despite the relegation he was a part of last season, the South Korean International would be an exceptionally good signing for any side in the Championship.
Especially for Nottingham Forest who are still in a weakened position under their FFP restrictions resulting in their transfer embargo.
With Forest only being able to offer no more than £10,000 a week in wages, it makes it extra challenging for manager Dougie Freedman to sign the creative midfielder.
