Fair play...I'm pleasantly surprised by what I am reading here. I'm neutral when it comes to Wales, but he does a good job as captain for your national team and it's nice to see that recognised...

That's two subjects sort of linked to the Swans this week that have been full of fair and balanced views?

At risk of sounding like Pembroke Allan we're not the only small country to poach players not born within our borders. And like similar countries we don't have the resources to be choosy. Williams and Coleman have been great for Wales,but not everyone can find it within themselves to be fair to people with jack connections.

I just happen to have noticed, that when someone criticizes the club or the way it's run, you tend to defend whtever it is by saying it goes on at other clubs. It's quite repetative.

Or is that called consistency? I don't always agree with Allen, but he doesn't change his stance just to win arguments. I thought that was a good thing. Obviously not!

Great captain for Cymru. Knocking him is plain stupid. He's an excellent centreback who we were once after. Wish we'd have signed him.

My only problem with him was when he seemed to make mistakes every other game costing us a goal.

Seems solid at the moment but in my opinion he should not be captain but I blame Coleman for that.

Mistakes every other game? Go on, list them. I can't remember that many mistakes from him.

As for the issue of him being captain, I think you're in a small minority.

I'm not that bothered that I'm going to go through all the Welsh games. He probably didn't make mistakes every other games but he seemed to make a lot of mistakes that cost us goal.
Can't remember him making any this campaign though which is good and as I said he has been solid.

Yes I would say I'm in the minority regarding the captaincy but that's my opinion, and I don't think it should be allowed.

I'd let him decide but my child would never ever be born in England

Is this even the same scenario as williams? What is his connection? Was he born here? did he grow up here?

The questioned asked was who would YOU like your grandson to play for not what he would choose, we all would let our children to make their own choice, but sometimes it is not what WE would have chosen but we accept, so once again what would be YOUR choice, Scotland his place of birth,England his fathers place of birth, or Wales his Grandparents place of birth

Regarding the never in England statements, accidents do happen your wife/girlfriend could be visiting somewhere in England being 7months pregnant and while there have a premature baby, thereby making him English

Yes it is the same scenario as williams in as much as both your grandson and williams would have Welsh Grandparents, not born here or grew up here, just qualify by grandparents

It certainly is a tough one and will never get everyone agreeing!

From my view:

1) He actually knows and sings the Welsh national anthem when some of our players don't!
2) He's a very good defender and without him our defence would be shambolick.
3) Yes, he's a Jack. But for Wales, my country, he gives 100%. I can't ask for more. Do Rangers fans hate Scott Brown when he plays for Scotland?

Ashley Williams has not done anything too outrageous for me to hate him. Completely different situation in the South Wales derby as he is the captain of the enemy.

For Wales however, I respect him.

To be fair, I think we can put that to bed now. I believe every player sang the anthem on Saturday, or at least gave it a go! Even Hal Robson-Kanu sang.

About time I say!

decent premier league centre half, he always gives 110% for Wales so who cares what club team he plays for
