" WE CAN'T FAIL NOW SURELY? "

Israel 0-3 Wales

Group B Table viewtopic.php?f=2&t=156604 :thumbright:

Qualifying for our first major tournament since 1958 is edging closer and a dominant Wales performance in Israel has got fans believing that Wales will be competing at France 2016.

Israel hadn't lost a competitive home match for two and a half years.

Wales are unbeaten in five, and that is a first in any of our euro campaigns, to get to the top of the table tonight.

Chris Coleman opted for a 3-5-2 and from the start Wales looked comfortable and created several good chances in the first half but what looked like a half ending 0-0, Aaron Ramsey combined with Gareth Bale to give us a deserved lead on the stroke of half time.

I expected a strong Israeli second half performance but less than 10 minutes of the half were played and Wales were 2-0 up and Israel were down to ten men.

Bale scored an exquisite free kick minutes before Tibi got his marching orders for taking the Real Madrid star out on his route to goal.

Gareth Bale will grab the headlines with his goals tonight and deservedly so but the team can be proud of the overall performance, it wasn't scrappy, it wasn't even a battle it was an excellent all round performance and Wales have made a statement with this resounding win.

There are 5 games to go for Wales with Belguim up next at home in June but surely Wales cannot fail to achieve the dream this time ?

It is looking good and confidence is as high as it has ever been.

Great team effort. Crackin back three. Allen and Ramsey controlled midfield.

Were in a good position, but we've been in good positions before, just ask Mike Smith, Mike England, Terry Yorath, & Mark Hughes.

There looks to be a better team bond this time though. Here's hoping.

Bales free kick pure class, right on the line of the box, up down and way under the bar in such a small distance, amazing :notworthy:

As long as we can keep the ball like we did tonight and pass it around like we did ,I'm sure we will be there in 2016.
Best passing game I see us play in many a long year, and I believe that was the key to our win ..

Reckon we will need another 9 points, Andorra home obviously, Israel home will be a big one as they are the only team that can take 2nd off us, hope they lose to Belgium on Tuesday. A draw at home to Belgium would be ok, anything in Bosnia who will hopefully have nothing to play for by then :bluescarf:
