There is no war between the Arab governments and Israel. The war is between the religious zealots and Israel. Unfortunately the religious gangs are too big out there and could quite easily topple any of their governments if they wanted to.

It's awful what is happening there but you can make anything suit your argument with regards dates etc. All I will say is that there is a peace at the moment (thank God) but it will kick off again soon and it won't be the Israelis that start it.
