John or Ralls at left back?

Postby Stringfellow » Fri Feb 27, 2015 10:03 pm

So with fabio not favoured and seemingly injuired would you go with ralls or John while Malone is injuired? Which is a shame as he had a great game against rovers. I like ralls but as a midfielder, although he can no doubt do a job at left back.

I would go with John, he's had his critics including myself but he's got the correct attitude and pace and I think this could be useful sat. Opinions ?

Fabio should be first choice. Unsure on Ralls at left back, haven't seen much of him there. How did he do Tuesday night there?

With no Fabio I'd go for John

Unsure about John. Love him because he's Welsh and his pace is brilliant, but he has his issues defensively and Sako has the ability to rip him to shreds tomorrow. Haven't seen enough of Ralls at left back to judge him, but I don't see why we shouldn't play him in midfield. :bluescarf: :ayatollah:

I agree he has defensive issues and i have been his biggest critic but I have no doubt he will improve or maybe wishfull thinking for the reasons u like him. John has pace and ralls doesn't so they key is not to allow sako to have space.

In an ideal world we would have Fabio and he would keep Sako in his back pocket all game. I would up with John, there is something about him that excites me. :bluescarf:

John,
Ralls is much less of a left back, proved by a couple of mistakes he made against Wigan.

Also what message are we giving out to our good youngsters when we say we'd rather have a non specialist player in their position. If the Manager doesn't think John's any good at left back then why not play him left midfield where he'd be much better that Craig Noone just now.
