' MEHMET DALMAN ON DEBT TO EQUITY/ ON RUSSELL SLADE '

Fri Feb 06, 2015 12:39 pm

Chairman Mehmet Dalman says Cardiff City's board are concerned with the club's recent results, but are fully backing manager Russell Slade.

Friday 6th Feb 2015

The Bluebirds have lost their last three league matches and are 13th in the Championship, seven points above the bottom three and 13 adrift of the play-off places.

In response to questions supplied by supporters, Dalman said: "The board is obviously not happy with the results.

"But we are fully behind the manager."

Dalman also said owner Vincent Tan was still fully committed to the Bluebirds, despite cutting wages and costs.

He insisted the Malaysian will turn the club's debt into equity at the "appropriate time".

Cardiff have only gained eight points out of a possible 30 from their last 10 matches in the Championship and face Sheffield Wednesday away on Saturday.

In Friday's press conference looking ahead to the match at Hillsborough, Slade admitted he was under pressure.

"I've said before there's not a day goes by in any manager's career that there's not an amount of pressure," he said.

"But of course that's only going to intensify and that will be the case if we continue on the run that we've had. But it can't rain forever, can it?"

I was told, after the last press conference, certain high ranking people at City were embarrassed by Slade.

I would guess that RS has privately been given about six games in which to turn things around,,, & with VT visiting for the next home game (???), If his team has another "mare" it might even be less than that!

Doesn't he know it once rained for forty days and forty nights?

Watching his team at the moment it feels like it's been pouring down for months!

The man's an idiot.

I wonder if Dalman has the balls to point out to Tan that Tan's choice of manager is doing worse than Dalman's choice?

Laughing at the fake outrage aimed at Annis by the lefty apologists on the other board. Unbelievable to think that someone might just have a different opinion to them and may be more willing to view that opinion, regardless of what a bunch of self proclaimed internet intellects think.
