Why would a guy with no experience of the league, players in the divisions and who slade doesn't know be a good choice as an assistant? And why would slade want someone who could have his job? He wants to be able to confide and trust a number 2 not watch him sharpen his knife to stab him in the back, a number 2 is a vital role you don't just pick a name from a panini sticker album
