Not posted a film in ages but loads of people been on about this in the cinema now so going to watch it tonight seems its got good reviews and this is a dvd copy.

Brilliant watch, can't remember the last time I watched a film I was so engrossed in.


One thing that really hit me was the credits, first time I'd seen a film with silent credits and just after that ending it was surreal. The sad thing is it's true as well

One hell of a film fairplay based on a true story but over exaggerated chris kyle character because in real life he was a tw*t if you believe what articles etc says about him

Anything Clint Eastward does is quality. I've got it and yet to watch it, me and the missus will watch it Saturday night but if it's sad like Annis says I might give it a swerve because I might be still crying after watching City getting mauled by Derby.

I know you like your films Ian and the best way to do it now without going into detail (as its all on Youtube) is to install Kodi (formally XBMC) and NaviX on your lappie, phone and tablet. Its a free dedicated media centre and actually sources films from Putlocker and other sites in a fairly slick front end. I've bought several Android boxes for screens around the house which runs it, its that good and mucho cheapo.

Terrible film. Typical American biased rubbish full of exaggerations and false patriotism. A true blemish on the old guard.

Sadly an ironic ending considering the amount of tours of duty he did, a great film though

Watched a double bill on Saturday night...

Sniper - Very much enjoyed and can recommend but was gutted at the conclusion!

Whiplash - Great film and a great ending - recommended for those who like jazz!

Some other good films watched recently include:

Unbroken - cruel but superb!

Exodus - in the old style of Spartacus and Ben Hur it is well worth a watch, too!

Snipers aren't heroes they will shoot you in the back - they are cowards.

This film is another part of the propaganda machine against Muslims and to support the war in Iraq.

Cooper is excellent...
However regardless of how hard he tried for the Oscar,the scene of him holding his newborn is an utter facepalm moment.


It's clearly shown and not well disguised "PLASTIC" baby!!!

Give it a miss mate and watch Unbroken instead. You will be much impressed.

Read the book a while back. Had a look online after I'd finished reading it only to find out what you see at the end of the film. Must say I was shocked as it had happened a few days before so whilst I was reading it. Enjoyed the film, pretty much true to the book as he speaks about his wife and kids a lot in it.

I thought it was gash to be fair way over the top american shit

Excuse my ignorance on this film, but is it the one about the guy that founded craft international after he left the army - the mercenary group with the 'violence does pay' slogan that had its staff at the scene of the Boston bombings for some strange reason.

I have seen the scene with the plastic baby that made me chuckle, but would be interested watching it
