Sounded like a better performance, more possession means more threat.
Two relatively soft goals again though :(

Fans all over the country get fed up with their managers when the football and results are below par, it happens it's natural.

I'll give Slade my support for as long as he is in the job, BUT no way should we be performing as poor as we are with the squad of players we have. We are in a transition period so surely we should be nailing down the basics and laying down foundations for next season. There doesn't seem to be any sort of direction in our play, it all looks a bit unbalanced.

I take it your pleased and can see exactly what Slade's trying to implement.

Middlesbrough 2-1 Cardiff City match report: Bluebirds late rally proves fruitless as Slade's men suffer 7th away defeat

Cardiff City suffered their seventh away defeat of the season after another fruitless late rally at Middlesbrough.

Russell Slade's Bluebirds, who trailed 3-0 at half time at Norwich on Saturday before fighting back to 3-2, found themselves 2-0 down after 79 minutes at the Riverside Stadium, before pulling it back to 2-1.

But ultimately it was the same old story for Cardiff, who were out of the game before they really gave it a go and face another long trip home, this time from Teeside.

After starting with a midfield five, Slade's men did well to stay in the game for an hour before Boro's Chelsea loanee Partick Bamford put his team ahead.

That goal sparked a spell of sustained Boro pressure and with 10 minutes to play, Lee Tomlin doubled the hosts' lead, leaving struggling Cardiff seemingly down and out.

But as the clock ticked down Cardiff rallied and forced a nervous finale for the 16,000 home fans as Kenwyne Jones' powerful header flew past keeper Dimi Konstantopoulos after a wonderful Joe Ralls cross.

But despite referee Geoff Eltringham signalling five minutes of added time, to the horror of hosts, the Bluebirds were unable to get any reward for their late blast.

Cardiff turn their attention to the FA Cup on Saturday and the clash against Reading will be a welcome distraction for Russell Slade and his men, who now look more like a side struggling than one set for a late run to the play-offs.
