Define "good".

My definition is, as the rule book measures the best team on any given day: the score.

"Great" teams get demoted. Are they great then? Maybe not.

The nature of football makes scores unpredictable. That is why we watch it. That is why lesser clubs have good cup runs.

Variables: Playing surface, injuries, deflections, own goals, referee's decisions, weather, etc., etc.

It doesn't matter how many goals you score, as long as you score enough to equal or better your opponents. "Form" is irrelevant.

We see football very different then. The cup is the cup, it another nature. It's no coincident mostly the same teams make up the top five teams in almost every league in the world. The championship is thougher and more open than most. It not called the sack race for nothing. But we certainly need to play closer to what we are capable of and raise our game. No doubt about that.

The point about the top leagues and the top 5 teams being stable is a red herring. The top clubs have huge resources and can buy their way out of trouble to a large extent.

The reason Championship is a sack race is because resources are limited and so luck plays a bigger part. One of two decisions in your favour, the odd own goal or fluke deflection can turn seasons around.

Some fans need to appreciate every positive result. If Cardiff beat Watford tomorrow, I won't be looking a gift horse in the mouth. The result is everything and if you see it differently, then that's up to you but points win championships, not analyses.

We are a top club with big resources in championship standard, thats not debatable. Looking for points achieved or points to achieve, either way you have to beat the teams competing for the top 6. We have beaten Forest. There is no going around our tactics, performance or team selections. They have to improve. Thats if the ambition is promotion, but im not so sure it is anymore..

Again, define top club and big resources. I'm not saying we don't need to improve. We need away wins but RS is referring to very recent form and you have to do that by counting points. In that sense he is right.

The win against Reading was fortunate to say the least, but move on. Allow the manager to work behind the scenes ans as Annis says, give any new manager at least 12 games before standing in judgement. That's all I'm saying too.

Get behind the team and support. Be the 12th man...... If the team is below par, the support is abysmal so maybe we all need to take a look opinion the mirror. :bluescarf:

Sorry. Typo. Opinion = in
Text prediction. Don't you just love it!!

I hardly speak english, so typo doesn't bother me, and is presented often from me  Thats where we differ. Performances produce results, scrappy results doesn't produce performances over time. Its not just away form, we will be battered against more than one team at home playing like we did against Reading. His tactics are more predictable than my 6 year old sons team. If teams push through the middle and have player quality, we are done..

The second paragraph, team support. Im all with you and all behind them come game time tomorrow. I know he will be all about keeping it tight. But i hope he stack some tools on the bench and look to push on in the second half.

Your second paragraph  :bluescarf:

Your English is excellent. :notworthy: British people are not usually good at speaking other languages.

I know what you mean about bad performances and sometimes I post statements just to cause discussion.

We can't afford to play like the Reading game and just hope. I agree.

I'm just trying to make a positive spin on the season. I hope we improve AND have some luck too!! :bluescarf:

On current form we are seventh..... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/en ... table/full And that's after finishing on a home game, if we win today we will surely be on top six form....

Away we are 21st on recent form... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/en ... table/away

At home we are top of the League... http://www.statto.com/football/stats/en ... table/home :ayatollah:

Sort out our away form, and sort out the Striker department in the window and we have a chance of top six finish :ayatollah:
