Thomson holidays are starting flights for winter 2015 using dreamliner aircraft from rhoose for their carribean cruises! :thumbup:

Annis flown to carribean from Cardiff before, but this is completely different as dreamliner carries around 300 people! Its something Bristol can never do! :lol: given time sure things will improve. :thumbup:

A decent price route to places like New York, Boston, SF and Toronto would be amazing. Air Canada recently dropped there flight from Glasgow so now there only other route is from gatwick.

It will work, I flew to Barbados from Cardiff in January and the plane was packed! There was an obvious demand

Yes all carribean flights fully booked shame they are charter though! But at least can fly from there, normally Manchester or Gatwick. :old:

Years ago there were 2 flights a week from Cardiff to Sanford Airport, Orlando, and they were always full.

The both occasions I've been to the Caribbean there's been loads of welsh on the cruise. So the option of cardiff as a flight would obviously have benefits. Come on cardiff airport get these flights going

any new flights including the flybe ones. Whether people like it or not cheaper fares more than distinations is the quickest way to attract more travellers as many would travel to the South East airports rather than Cardiff if it means that they would save a few hundred quid per person which as you know Al has been a regular issue there.

Yes off to mexico in Jan as cheaper than other airports in UK! Maybe wag is learning about costs and lower they are more attractive to ailrlines, although airport is run by an independent management company, so perhaps we are seeing the benefits of this?
