Not the sort of post I'd reply to usually , but I would say enjoy it while you can , no disrespect intended , we used to have this kind of chat 30 yrs ago regarding Birmingham / Wolverhampton , and it's all changed , knives and guns unfortunately rule the roost now . Tragic , the world we live in :-( :old:

I almost forgot about the late Eugene Innocent from Splott. He knocked out Joe Bugner, but the referee controversially let the bout continue and Bugner won on points. Not even Ali got as close to knocking out Bugner. Eugene was a real unassuming gent who most people would have been surprised could handle himself by his mild mannered nature (his size was the only give away).

Cardiff's Marlo Offside, best streetfighter to come out of this part of the world. He's beaten Johnny Bateman and Jimmy Tobin, not many can claim to have done that.

Yep Malcom Price was a bully in my opinion but there was no one to compare with him in his hey day. Not quite sure but there was a rumour that he died a while ago?

My mate who has been wheel chair bound for most of his life. Instead of wallowing in self pity he's just got on with things with a smile on his face.

I worked with a few hard men in Sharpe & Fisher, in the Docks, '75 to '84. None of them made a big show of it, but they were hard as nails. I was just a kid, and they were as good as gold, but not to be messed about with! When I say 'hard men' I mean 'hard men', not college boys who have played a bit of rugger.
