If Slade dont use him at all and if he will just play DVP-games or warming the bench, he will get a clear message from the norwegian national coach to find himself a new club. His dad, who is a famous norwegian sports pundit, will advise him the same.
It is very important to understand that Mats allready has become a vital player in the new young norwegian national team. Many people in the norwegian national team system have an interest that Mats will continue developing, and they will not be satisfied if he goes a long term not playing first team football.
Of course he has to deserve a place in the lineup like everybody else, and he has certainly said that he will fight for that, but i am a little bit concerned that Mats just not is Slades type of player. Very concerned. When Slade took over, it was straight to the bench for Mats.
