I wouldnt think he can play due to a conflict of interest? Eg he could let a goal in?

Pretty sure he can't play.
But Elliott Parish will play instead, another ex-City goalkeeper.

I remember Budgie going on loan to citeh from Newcastle, he played against newcastle for citeh, saved a pen and basically kept citeh up. Dont think keegan ever forgave him for the save, even though keegan allowed him to play against his own team.

That rule only applies in the premier league....but we did have an agreement that he couldn't play against us.
