Hardly used this season and when we do it has been very successful.
Whitts see's it quicker than anybody on the pitch, he has excecuted it probably since Junior football, he is a wide midfielder (not winger), not a north south (NFL term) central midfield player.
Swapping matts and Whitts would probably help both players. I doubt Matts is that much faster than Whitts as they are both slow, but so was Beckham. You wouldn't want to play matts so deep, but we shouldn't do that with Whitts either. Ole's fault for not improving the quality of the central midfield. Lots of quantity, how much quality.
Queue the Whitt haters, but you have to get your class player on the pitch in thier best positions, and Whitts still is one of our most talented players.
