F5S user going to Cable area

Now im pretty decent with my F5S, but are moving to a cable area, So without putting up a sat and going about things that way, although my providers pretty good, Im looking at a cable version, anyone use this, have any providers, and know how this works? Im looking at a crash course so i can get my head around it and see if whats the best way to do things.

Any help from seasoned pros would much help!
