Marshall

A bit of a howler for the Brighton goal.

Should never have scored with a lob over the keeper from out wide. Looked as if Marshall slipped on the floor before the ball went over his head.

I suppose he is due one after his stand out performances last season!

Its not the first mistake he's made this season. Doesn't look the same keeper for some reason :(

In fairness to Marshall, he's made a few really good saves as the game has gone on

kept us from being 4 or 4-1 down, really improved since the howler

I put the stream on late and I honestly thought it was 0-0 until I read this!

Reminded me of WBA away last season....he don't like that type of Lob.

He earned us a point tonight though.

Well done Captain. :ayatollah:

Not sure he is to blame for the goal. You won´t expect a lob from there on first touch so his positioning was quite normal, I would say. He couldn´t have saved if even if he hadn´t fell.

Caretaker duo Scott Young and Danny Gabbidon have said that David Marshall's performance last night against Brighton and Hove Albion came as no surprise to anybody at the club and in some ways you feel there is the undercurrent that they are surprised anybody else was surprised owing to his showings in the Premier League last season.

Speaking to Wales Online Young explaiend following the game.

'People seem surprised that Marshy played so well, but nobody within the club is. We see that day in, day out in training. There is no doubt he is the best at this level - and certainly in the top five or six at the next. Overall we are pleased with the point. The lads showed great spirit. They had a great desire and dug in when the going was tough.'

Young also explained that he and Danny had probably been in charge for longer than they expected, even though he repeated that they never hesitated when first offered the interim role, but they'll be having a chat with the owner and Chairman to see where things are in terms of our next match and possibly next week.

He did also confirm that they had had a few chats with Russell Slade, and whilst they had been productive, Slade had left them to it in terms of team selection and training because he knew it wasn't his place yet.
