That needs addressing

We are desperately lacking a striker. Personally would have included earnie as he is still our best striker and scored on his debut for Chicago.
Our midfield on the other hand is world class.

We haven't got a hard midfield ball winner in this squad . That's a bigger problem than our lack of strikers because bale can play there supported by Ramsay or just behind church . Without a ball winner our midfield is soft and we will need to pack it in front of the defence .

Matthews------Chester-----Williams------Davies
--------Ledley-------joe Allen-----andy king------

Its the lack of a top class keeper who plays regular, Hennessy is a good keeper but does not play enough

lets hope bale and ramsey have not picked up injuries

Well seeing as Ricketts is in the squad as a back up centre back, yes really.
Wed Aug 27, 2014 4:56 pm
How many centre backs are we going to use? 4 at a time?

Of course not. Are you suggesting we have 5 full backs in the squad and 3 centre backs?

Ben Davies and Neil Taylor are the left backs in that squad and let's be honest both have far more experience than Declan at the moment, also at this moment both are better players as well.
Ricketts can play across the defence and still offers Chris Coleman good experienced cover.

hennessey
chester williams collins
matthews davies
huws allen ledley
ramsey bale
our strikers aint good enough so dont play them
Wed Aug 27, 2014 10:32 pm
Can't argue with John not being in the squad, Taylor and Davies are our best left backs so he won't get in front of them, there'll be an u21 game around the same time so he'll benefit from that.
On the other hand though as it's only Andorra it does make you think he could have used the first team football, would be big for him just his 3rd cap.

There are plenty former Cardiff City players in the squad though, and a certain local superstar

This is a strong squad! I can't remember the last time I looked down the list and actually got confident.
Most of the players are in top flight teams and no strangers to facing superstars. After all we have one or two ourselves.
The point about no Cardiff (present) players is a good one, but just remember that there are a number who have previous links to CCFC. Our academy will, in time, provide us with some home-grown talent again so no worries there.
The main thing now is to get behind the team and forget club affiliations in the interest of progress and success.
C'mon Wales!
Cymru am byth.

Alot of these top flight players aren't established isn't that a bad thing due to game time?

It's a joke that John isn't getting more play time to be honest.

Dummett of Newcastle should be there instead of rickets he's been playing pl football for last 3 seasons

Collins withdraws from squad dummet called up

|Dummet should have been in there from the start anyway. No issue with Declan not getting called up. Taylor and Davies are ahead of him.

Again, I can't understand why Earnie's been frozen out - we don't have many striking options and he could still do a job for us...
