Dropping Jones is a massive mistake and although I can see what Ole is thinking with Sako's threat, playing Brayford would also force Sako to do more defending, which he wouldn't like, but that would make the game more open. If this comes off, Ole is a genius!

Brayford likes flying up the wing and is stifled if told to hang back.

Connolly is a more sitting full back which is needed against Sako, especially away from home.
