Hopefully more than two players will leave if three come in. If two players are CBs I would like one or two CBs we currently have to leave.

I wonder if Chris Eagles is one of the three?

Great news. I hope the midfielder is either a winger or a combative central defender, as back-up/competition to KG

Don't need a winger IMO.
We have Noone, Burgstaller & Harris as decent wingers for this league with Kim, Daehli & Ekriem also able to play wide. Jesus, even Whitts can play wide, how many do you want?
Defence is the priority without any doubt.

Eikrem is not a wide player, he was played out of position today which tells a story. On the wings we may not have the strength in depth as other areas. With Kimbo and Noone very often not playing 90 minutes, I agree with PWO that this might be an area worth looking at. Burgstaller is unproven in British football. As is Kadeem at this level.

There were rumours earlier in the Summer about Jesse Lingard coming here on loan. This might be that extra man we could do with.

Need to move players on still though to make room in the wage budget.

Hence why I said Ekriem is ABLE to play wide.
He can do a job there as he did yesterday & done it very well.
My point is that I think we have plenty of wide players at the moment & I think Ole's 3 players or so that he's rumoured to bring in will not include an out & out winger.
May be wrong of course because OGS is almost impossible to guess lol!

I see what you mean, but I wouldn't want Eikrem on the wing again, even though as you say he did very well. He kept cutting inside every time and coming into his natural central position. This left us very much out of shape was the way I saw it and I wouldn't want us playing chunks of games this way...

Haven't got a clue what Ole is thinking either! He's a little tinker!

Kimbo was far more guilty of cutting inside than Eikrem and that's why they got the equaliser. Brayford was so knackered after getting no help at all from Kimbo all afternoon that he just couldn't get back in time to cut out the cross and Harris did virtually no tracking back while he was on either. It just goes to show how much we miss Noone in my opinion.

Definately agree with you on Kimbo. He's a CAM for me anyway and not a winger either.

This is why I'm saying if we are going to recruit more bodies, one needs to be a proper ready made wide man who knows and sticks to the position properly.
