I know it's only a friendly and all about fitness blah blah.......but no pace out wide and Whitts can't play in a two man centre midfield. This team is too static..we need much more pace and movement

That doesn't apply to friendlies as far as I'm aware

team look rather poor, on the ball, they close us down and we seem to panic and give it away to easy, and the pass in the final third is a huge let down at the moment, defensively, i've seen afan lido defend better but, it is after all just a pre-season friendly

this game is awful - cant even take a free kick

Much better 2nd half and the changes made have made a difference. But the way amkar were running of the ball 1st half and we couldnt pick them up was shocking. Early days I know. But brayford. hudson. and Turner have a lot to do. But im sure we'll be fine come august 8th

1st half was dreadful, shameful defending for what is supposed to be our strongest defence. We definitely need a new CB that is for sure.

Actually was more disappointed in midfield.
Its easy to blame defense but when central midfield is afraid to put in a tackle you tend to get overrun.
A new cb and holding midfielder is needed urgently.

Was it last season we lost to Forest Green Rovers ? Friendlies mean fook all Lads it's about adjusting tactics Fitness and to be fair it's like judging a training session.

Not ideal obviously, but friendlies have a habit of throwing up unusual results. My main hope is that OGS got what he wanted from the game in terms of assessing fitness, match sharpness and individual strengths and weaknesses. A win would be nice, but if it doesn't give the manager and players some pointers for development, it becomes a waste of time.

I see what you're saying. My post was a bit biased! I tried to get a handle on how good they are, and the only direct comparison I could get was when they played in Europa after coming 4th in their Prem Lge. They were knocked out first round by Fulham. I kind of figured that the Russian top flight may be more akin to our Championship. If our team was up-to-speed, I then thought we should beat them, but like I said, it's a friendly so no harm done!
