Cardiff’s Caulker set for medical at QPR

Live on talkSPORT

Steven Caulker will undergo a medical at Queens Park Rangers on Tuesday, talkSPORT understands.

The Cardiff defender had been stalling on a switch to Loftus Road after QPR agreed a fee with the Championship side last week amid interest from a host of other Premier League teams.

Crystal Palace, Southampton had Liverpool have all been linked with the 22-year-old.

However, he has now made up his mind to join Harry Redknapp's newly-promoted side.

The former Tottenham centre-back, who worked under Redknapp at White Hart Lane, will put the finishing touches to the move today.

He will become QPR's second summer signing, following the free transfer arrival of Rio Ferdinand.

Plenty of potential but no where near as good as i expected. Lots of silly errors in him. Possibly down to age. Probably come on well playing next to Rio.
Would have expected him to move to a bigger club tho. Guessing money speaks with qpr and a return to london

Why does that matter, even if that were actually the case?? :?

Surely just important that the info is on here regardless of the source? ;)

You've made a pretty big assumption there, given that you don't actually know 'who' told Forever Blue and that's unusual for you :o

Sky Sports

It seems to be a matter of when rather than if Steven Caulker moves to Queens Park Rangers.

The defender is moving back to the Premier League after getting relegated with Cardiff last season. He will join up with Rio Ferdinand who has already signed for Harry Redknapp's side this summer.
Caulker is believed to be having a medical today ahead of his transfer.

Speaking on the weekend Redknapp said
‘We’ve agreed a fee with Cardiff. It’s just about getting the deal over the line with Steven now,’
