Reports suggest Maribor are ready to make a move to bring Etien Velikonja hopefully

Eeeeeeh you can't really base a big decision like that on a single event. He looked unfit and fumbled the ball into the net after hitting the goalkeeper square on with the first shot. Considering the amount of striking quality in the squad right now it'd be unwise to hold on to him, plus, he's on way higher wages than he should be.
It's likely at least one of the striking options has to go, and out of those Velikonja is the best choice.

He's world class. Glad we got him now as losing Gestede was a big blow to our push for European football.

Fully agreed, it's great how Blackburn signed him and he showed his great form there and like he did for us. Shame some of our supporters didn't appreciate a world class talent when they see one.

Velikonja getting closer...
A few days ago we reported that this could return the purple Etien Velikonja, and last night we found out that the realization of such a scenario is already pretty close outcome and will be will be known in the coming days....
