Regarding a striker, no we have plenty

Regarding a Quality defender, yes ASAP


Once the deals are finally sealed, look out for Carl's latest Update Hmm

Defence has been neglected up to now.

Still a big unknown. I can't decide if defence was shit last year or whether it was down to the way we played - I'd side with the latter.

Championship has quality, but nothing like the prem.

I can see Ole in for another left back and a centre half - that would see me happier.

Striker - definitely not

Defender - yes, I feel more than anything we need a leader. Someone to control the whole defence. Marsh or Huds could do it but Huds could well be on his way. If he was to leave then 2 new CB's possibly?

Also 1 more winger. noones injury seems to be repetitive and a fresh winger wouldn't go amiss. If mason could fit the bill out wide then maybe not. But I'd love to see either Buckley, Sako or Mclearly here

glad to see them both go as will give Ole time to work with hopefully a good experienced CB, no need for another striker and IMO they both have gone for the money ( can't blame them ) but I think we will leapfrog at least one of them next year, OPR I think as Pulis will keep Palace up ( if he stays there )

Our defence always looked strong under Malky and we lacked goals upfront. It now looks like we have turned full circle under Ole

If Hudson and Connelly can recreate their performances from our last stint in the championship i won't be worried at all if we don't sign any central defenders. We hardly seen the pair of them last year and they were arguably the best defenders from the title winning year. Still think we need a good solid left back I.m.o.

Agreed we need one maybe two quality defenders to finish the team and depending on Noone maybe a winger too, pretty sure Ole will get them in

Maybe he needed these two gone before he could commit to the extra few, and plenty more of ours to go, Medel next .......

Terry Phillips had a good chat with Ole in Austria last night.

He believes only one more payer to come in and Ole is targeting Fonte to be that player.

Strong in the Champ yes, but I don't think our defence did look strong in the Prem tbh. We played defensively, and I believe we still had worst or second worst goals conceded under Malky. Last ten minutes of every game especially was squeaky bum time. Agree we lacked goals upfront, but again I think that was down to the system we played. I think this season we will scare a lot of teams into playing defensively against us, and we have a decent enough defence as well. Nobody worries me, though would like to replace Caulker. Really looking forward to this season and developing a more attacking style.

Agree

Ole can't be too certain Fonte will be THAT player, he needs to keep options open and maybe look for a cheaper option or at least a player of the same calibre that is more realistic.
