There's some good advice within this thread.. Mine would be
Stay away from Sites like Zynga ... They teach you bad habits
Only play with money you can afford to loose.
Read books and poker sites like 2+2 .
I've played on many on-line sites and I would recommend you start on a site like Party poker which is softer than other sites like Pokerstars.
Many players including myself play with online Huds and multi table .. Only playing premium starting hands . It's right what folk say in that it's hard to make a regular profit.
* Party poker now have a option to go on a table where other players are only playing 1 table ... 0.05/0.10 micro stakes... This I would recommend for starters in the game.

I set it up for Sunday evenings. I'll check later and post a link, can always change the time to suit players.

The 'CCFC SUNDAY POKER' is still active and that's the club name in the home games tab. And the tournament is called Cardiff City Poker.

Bozza NSC (me) has scheduled a new CCFC SUNDAY POKER Home Game tourney for this Sunday may the 18th at 19.00 (7pm).

I've raised the 1,500 chips to 10,000 to make the game more open as with less chips then people play tight. I've made the buy-in £5.50 which isn't that much and just a bit of fun. Can lower it if it's to much. Hope people take an interest and can participate.

Club ID: 783085
Tourney ID: 909478545
Date: 2014/05/18 19:00 WET
Game Type: Hold'em
Betting Structure: NL
Buy-in: GBP 5.50
Tourney Structure: Regular
Payout Structure: Top 15%
Chips 10,000
Blinds 5 minutes

Password: Bluebirds.

http://www.pokerstars.com/

I'll check back to see if anyone is interested and will check the tourney lobby to see if anyone has registered.

No one has signed up yet. Thought maybe one would have. All you got to do is sign up to the Cardiff City Poker club and when ever there is a match organized then all member's will receive an e-mail stating that a Cardiff poker game is to take place at the weekend.

Easy. I've spent days and hours trying to arrange a game. Shall not bother again after tomorrow as so many people want to play but none are willing to participate.

Sounds good. Maybe the 1st or last day of the month. Could do the 1st Of June. Before I do it just sign up to the Cardiff City Poker Club and that includes any Cardiff poster. If I see some posters in the club then I'll arrange a game and an e-mail will be sent out :)

P,s I don't know the e-mail address as when I arrange a game then Pokerstars automatically dispatch e-mails to all members.

twoplustwo

is an amazing forum I think its important to learn as much as you can there.
some of the users there play cash games in the biggest casinos against the likes of tom dwan, Phil gafond etc in fact they even have user accounts on 2+2
