Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says interest in players is sign Bluebirds can stay up

' Steven Caulker, Gary Medel and David Marshall have been linked with other clubs '

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not afraid of other clubs stealing his stars; indeed, he believes it’s a sign the Bluebirds will stay in the Premier League.

Cardiff now have seven games to try to avoid relegation but, with many people believing they can not survive, some have been looking at which Cardiff players might quit the club ahead of a Championship campaign.

The likes of Gary Medel, skipper Steven Caulker and goalkeeper David Marshall have enjoyed good seasons personally and are already being linked with other clubs.

But Solskjaer, who is now preparing his men for a big clash at rivals West Brom on Saturday, said if the vultures are circling it means the Bluebirds will be picking up the results they need right now.

“If we get the results and performances over the next seven games and other clubs start looking at my players I will probably be happy,” said Solskjaer.

“What it means that we will be in the Premier League next season.”

There has been a lot of debate regarding goalkeeper Marshall in particular.

The Scottish international was recently linked with a move to Spurs if Hugo Lloris jumps ship this summer.

Solskjaer refused to be drawn on the 29-year-old’s future, but agreed that the shot-stopper was currently amongst the very best in the top flight.

“David has just signed a new contract six weeks ago,” added Solskjaer.

“He has been terrific this season and he is a vital part of my squad. He’s going to be immense and phenomenal over the next seven games, I’m sure of that. He’s been absolutely top.

“I’ve said he’s in the top three or four goalkeepers in the Premier League.”

and surely Mutch too, the boy has been outstanding, and got lots to learn, fast, tricky and a lump in Midfield, Malky gets a lot of flack for some signings, prehaps rightly so in some cases if indeed they were his, but in Mutch's case and a few others, he deserves alot more credit too. fair is fair. :old:

We're going to have to get used to it, there's going to be rumours all summer whether we stay up or go down.

If we go down those 3 will be gone. 100% international players. I'd be shocked if they stayed. Caulker the most.

I'd be VERY shocked if any of them stayed. Yet, I for some reason can see Marshall staying with us. Don't quite know why though..
