I predict the following results from those remaining fixtures :-

Norwich - So - L; Su - W, Sw - L; WB - D; F - W; remaining top 4 - L. = 7 + 29 = 36 points.
Palace - Su, Ne, Ch + Ca all -L; AV - D; WH, MC + L - all - L/ Fu - W and E - L. 4 + 27 = 31 points.
W Brom - Sw, H, Ca all - L; No - D, T - L; MC - L; WH - D; A - L; St - W + Su - D. 6 + 25 = 31 points.
Sunderland - CP - W, No + L - L; WH - D; T,E + Ch all - L, Ca - D; MU - L; Sw + WB - D; MC - L. 7 + 24 = 31 points.
Fulham - Ne; MC + E all - L; AV - D; No, T and H all - L; St - D + CP - L. 2 + 21 = 23 points.
Cardiff - E + L both - L; WB + CP both - W; So - L; St - W; Su - D; Ne + Ch both - L. 10 + 25 = 35 points.
These are all realistic results taking into account the opposition etc., so there is still everything to play for and I am confident that we will remain in the Premier League. For most of the season we have been just below 1 point a game, we are currently 4 points off this total and my prediction gives a finish 3 points below this total, with 3 games against the bottom 5 and 1 against Stoke who have one of the worst away records.

Hope they get relegated. Hated them since they beat us 3-0 at home in mid 80s to all but condemn us ton relegation from div 2 to 3.

Not that I hold grudges.....

Looking at the remaining program, I think 34 might actually we enough.

Because:

I can´t see Fulham getting more than 9 points.
Final score: 30 points

Crystal Palace is in deep shit. I give them one victory and 2 draws.
Final score: 32 points

West Brom, if they beat us, might collect 11 points
Final score: 36 points

Cardiff, if we beat CP and Stoke at home, losing the rest
Final score: 31 points.

Then, beating West Brom away will bring us to 34 points, whereas they ends on 33. PL saved.
Of course, things can look totally different in a few weeks, but the away match towards West Brom might be the determinate game. But imagine a scenario before the final match where we need to beat Chelsea to stay up, and they need to beat us to with the title. Potentially one of the greatest victories in the clubs history :)

I love football. I makes me feel alive :)

Norwich need to pick up points over the next few games because their last 4 fixtures are horrible!!

If was being optimistic i would say we can beat Palace, Stoke and West Brom plus get points against Sunderland and Newcastle giving us 11 from our remaining fixtures and 36 in total :thumbright:

Re: Updated ' Rivals full fixture watch '

As I see it Fulham will definitely be down. I think that WBA will go down as well (provided we can pick up a draw at the Hawthornes).
That leaves the third place between Palace Sunderland and us. Knowing our luck it will come down to goal difference- and we'll be in the sh:t! .......................BUT
If we can somehow get 2 wins and 2 draws out of the games against WBA Palace Stoke and Sunderland I think we will survive. Its a big ask!

Swansea have some tough fixtures, and a tricky run in, could us or them need them to beat Sunderland last game of the season ?????!

Re: Updated ' Rivals full fixture watch '

Tue Mar 11, 2014 7:55 pm

Stoke will play an important part they have a good run in.....

It's still all to play for so many six pointers for all teams there it's going to be interesting, but we have plenty of hope looking at those games, many teams are catchable :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Never been any good at forecasting results but was about to say hull will have a big part to play then noticed half the other teams have similar. Agree w.b.a. is a massive game a draw would be great let alone a win. Need to win against our immediate rivals palace, Stoke, w.b.a and hopefully Sunderland but definitely not lose against them. Sods law after a confidence boosting win we have to play two champions league chasing teams. Gonna be very tough to pull out of relegation zone.

only 3 wins we need 34pts will be enough but those wins must be at west brom and ssunderland and home to palace if we can win them and look at stoke for bonus points we will be ok

Re: Updated ' Rivals full fixture watch '

There are a few big games in there, I know we have the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea coming to our place, but looking at Palace i can only see them picking up a point if they are luck against Villa. Norwich maybe 3 points, I can see the Jacks not picking up to many, 3 maybe 4 if they are are lucky. but it wouldn't surprise me if they lost 3 out of the 4 at home.

if we can pick up 6 points against Palace and Stoke then i think we will be ok, however they are not easy games that is for sure.

Fulham home games
EVERTON
NORWICH
HULL
PALACE

Crystal Palace home games
CHELSEA
VILLA
MAN CITY
LIVERPOOL

Sunderland home games
WEST HAM
EVERTON
CARDIFF
WEST BROM
SWANSEA

WBA home games
CARDIFF
SPURS
WEST HAM
STOKE

Norwich home games
SUNDERLAND
WEST BROM
LIVERPOOL
ARSENAL

Swansea home games
NORWICH
CHELSEA
VILLA
SOUTHAMPTON

I've ignored Villa, Stoke & West Ham and go as follows

WBA - 39
Hull - 36
Cardiff - 36
Norwich - 35
Swansea - 35
Fulham - 34
Sunderland - 34
Palace - 31

taxi for Fulham, Sunderland & Pulis.

Granted but their next 4 fixtures are all 6 pointers so if they get enough there, the final 4 will be less a burden.

Have looked at the fixtures above then your next 2 games will define whether you stay up or not. I'm going for a draw at West Brom. The biggest game is against Palace, win that and I personally beileve you will stay up but lose it then see you next season.

Mahamadou Diarra rejoins Fulham on pay-as-you-play basis -

The former Real Madrid midfielder Mahamadou Diarra has rejoined Fulham on a short-term pay-as-you-play deal until the end of the season. The 32-year-old has not played since being released at the end of last season due to a persistent knee injury but has been training with the London club in a bid to prove his fitness. Diarra – who joined Real from Lyon in 2006 for €26m (£21.5m) – was close to signing a new contract in November before the former manager Martin Jol decided against it. The Mali international then almost joined the Greek club Panathinaikos before Christmas but was invited to train with Fulham once again in February, when Felix Magath replaced René Meulensteen. With the Cottagers struggling to preserve their Premier League status, the German manager has now decided to hand Diarra the opportunity to resume his career. "Diarra's short-term contract with Fulham will see his remuneration based on the number of appearances he makes for the first team," read a statement on Fulham's website on Wednesday.

Don't see Sunderland picking anything up next 5 games 3 points max although they have a little hope in lasts few

Palace look screwed as do Fulham

I've said for a while if Norwich ain't safe by last four games then they are in real trouble too

But a lot depends on how we do against the teams around us they beat us and we are also fucked

Lot going to happen yet let the twists and turns begin

Looking at Norwich and Swansea fixtures, the Jacks have an easier run in, playing Norwich, Hull and Sunderland.

IF Norwich fail to get much from their next three games, they could go into freefall and end up with a worse goal difference to us, if we end up level on points.

Even though it makes me feel ill saying this, but do we actually want the Jacks to beat Norwich on Saturday ?

Re: Updated ' Rivals full fixture watch '

Other teams are going to drop points and may have harder run in's than us but unfortunately it doesn't matter, you can look at other teams fixtures till your blue in the face, the problem is we are not going to pick up points ourselves. To survive in the Premier League you at least need the basics of everyone pulling together, we couldn't be further away from that if we wanted to be. It's been a disaster, take yourselves back 3 years ago and if somebody suggested this was the way it was going to be you would have pissed yourself and told them to do one. Can't believe how much has changed. :( :( :bluescarf:
