Cardiff chief stuns strugglers with incentive ahead of last Sunday's clash with Spurs
Tan broke Premier League rules by offering bonus during the season
Owner encouraged players 'to shoot more' if they wanted cash
Cardiff City are to be investigated by the Barclays Premier League after owner Vincent Tan offered his players an illegal £3.7million bonus before Sunday’s game against Tottenham.
Sportsmail can reveal Tan broke Premier League rules by offering Cardiff’s players the incentive to stay up. League rules say clubs must lodge bonus schedules before the start of the season.
The club’s owner walked into a team meeting at the Hilton Hotel in London’s Park Lane on Saturday evening and stunned the players with his offer.

No bonuses to be offered or discussed during the season but we were led to believe that there was a row over bonuses prior to the start of the Newcastle game.
those were bonuses already earned from the previous year, its completely different.

Does anyone really think the players will actually come out in public and back the mails story up. There is obviously an ongoing agenda between the mail and tan that will all fade into insignificance when we go down

Yes it was all promotion bonuses were paid in full in June.
Apparently our beloved players apart from earning wages, appearance bonuses and win bonuses automatically expect some sort of bonus at the end of the season regardless of what position we finish so that the poor loves can take their families on holidays.
Tan was not aware of this and that was what the row was over.
Greedy players eh never thought I would see the day

Unbelievable this.
Tan must be kicking himself for not showing much interest in the beginning. He must be a laughing stock in his corporate world at the moment.
