Asked specifically if the sack threat over Mackay had been lifted, Dalman replied: “For the time being, yes it is. The crisis for the time being is over.

Dalman says the crisis that has engulfed the club is 'over for now' as he begins talks to ease the tension between the owner and manager
Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan has lifted the sack threat hanging over Malky Mackay for the time being and is ready to enter dialogue to see if the two men can resolve their differences.
Tan and Mackay are being brought together by respected Bluebirds chairman Mehmet Dalman, who has postponed a Christmas holiday to France to work painstakingly behind the scenes in a bid to end the stand-off for the good of the club.
The news that Tan is at least prepared to consider keeping Mackay at the helm will come as an enormous boost to Bluebirds fans, who constantly chanted the name of their manager during Saturday’s 3-1 loss to Liverpool at Anfield.
Dalman calmed the waters when the first Tan-Mackay storm erupted over the controversial departure of the manager’s right-hand man Iain Moody two months ago.
And it appears his persuasive powers have held sway again, following 11th hour talks with Tan at a London hotel ahead of the Liverpool game.
Dalman told us: “My definition of diplomacy is to create space for dialogue. I have spoken to Vincent Tan and he has agreed I can go into bat to try to bring a solution to this situation.
“The important thing is that we try to find a way through this predicament. There is goodwill on Vincent’s side. I’ve not had a chance to talk to Malky just yet, but I will obviously do that as well.
“We need to have further dialogue to see if we can get through this together for the good of the club, which is the most important thing.
“We managed to create space for everyone to work together back in October and we have to see if we can do that again in order to move forward.
“At least we have a platform for dialogue, which gives us a chance to try to work our way through this.
“If we wish to work towards a reconciliation, Vincent Tan has offered us that opportunity to move towards that.
“If it works, it works. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. But at least I as a responsible person and chairman of this football club have tried my best.
“I’m not taking sides in this, I’m just trying to do my best for the good of the club. Let’s see if we can fix it.
“We can’t keep having the club under a cloud, so this is it. We managed to get two or three months leeway last time and we need to create something similar again.
“I’m not putting a time scale upon this, but we have to try. If we want to find a way forward, we at least have a platform, a base, from which to work.”
Asked specifically if the sack threat over Mackay had been lifted, Dalman replied: “For the time being, yes it is. The crisis for the time being is over.
“As things stand Malky is in charge for the foreseeable future and will be until something else happens.
“I don’t want to go game by game on this, with people asking if Malky will be in charge. The emphasis as of today is for us to create space and dialogue.”
Dalman continued: “This is a crucial time in the Premier League. Every point counts and we are better off going for stability.
“So if we want to give the club the best chance of being in the Premier League next season, the best way is to fix the problem and seek stability.
“In order to do that, it’s best we have an attempt at dialogue.
“Vincent Tan is in London for a while, so at least he is physically here which makes it easier to have that face to face dialogue.”
Asked about intense speculation linking the Bluebirds with a new manager, with names such as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Sven Goran Eriksson mentioned, Dalman said: “I can tell you categorically that I, as chairman, have not initiated any dialogue with anybody else.
“Can we go out and get another manager? Of course we can. But I’ve read and heard so much nonsense about us speaking to four different candidates and that sort of thing. It’s simply not true.
“What I do have is Vincent’s word that if we don’t succeed with our dialogue with Malky, I and the board will be handed the responsibility of going out and getting the manager we think is best to take the club forward.”
There is talk of a Bluebirds fan’s protest ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Southampton, but Dalman urged: “If I had one wish for Boxing Day, it’s that they don’t hold up ‘Tan Out’ or ‘Malky In’ banners, but rather one that says ‘Talk to each other’.”

Quote (Mehmet Dalman):
"if we don’t succeed with our dialogue with Malky, I and the board will be handed the responsibility of going out and getting the manager we think is best to take the club forward"Can anyone genuinely enlighten me on exactly what that means??
That
APPEARS to confirm there is
POSITIVE dialogue going on, but it isn't clear

Yes i will sum it up for you Malkys going eitherway

and anyone who buys this latest media stunt by tan will be saying we should of done something when its to late again
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:35 pm
Sensible talk from dalman. Malky doesn't deserve to be sacked yet, he deserves a bit of backing in January for at least one player, but if malky doesn't get the results on the pitch in the next 2 games then could be time up for malky. I think we should be aiming at 4 points and anything less is under achieving.
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:40 pm
He changed his mind, like f**k he did, THE SUPERB AWAY FANS gave him no option. But watch him now he is cornered dont give the b*stard an inch.
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:43 pm
Agree BlueMagic
It's all about the results on pitch now
Malky can focus on this weeks games - it'll be half way through season after Sunderland, we need 3 points to be "on track" for safety.
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:43 pm
like i said fickle support. 0 points next 2 games means f.... all in my book. back him even if we go down
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:44 pm
This changes nothing f**k tan and the rest of the board we need to get them all out that will be the best xmas prezzie for me anyway roll on Boxing day get the banners out and sing loud and proud TAN OUT TAN OUT
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:45 pm
What about apologising for his disrespectful behaviour?
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:50 pm
Poor statement says in one breathe malky remains in charge for foreseeable future then says if we can't get malky in on the dialogue then we have the task of finding a new manager
Very poorly worded statement and to me it says tan is trying to build bridges and the next statement will be tan tried hard to work things out with malky but malky didn't want to know! It's so obvious they'll try and turn this onto malky based on that statement
I for one hope he's paid off swiftly and I'll wish him well for future been great for us although has his faults but a true gentleman deserves to be at a club who actually want him
I then hope that we bring in someone decent to keep us on course of staying up but another part of me actually hopes we get relegated and maybe just maybe tan will realise what a gigantic cock he's been and admit getting rid of malky was a bug mistake
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:55 pm
Hhhmmmmmmmm interesting WBA will have to move on now then, maybe Solskjaer for them ???
Well done Malky, now we can concentrate on the two important Christmas period games

Hmmm, seemed a little more positive than that to me. However, you are certainly correct when you say that our 'fickle' paying fans will be calling for Malky's head themselves
IF we were, say, not take at least 4 points from the next 2 games, so long as it was
THEIR decision and
NOT Tan's, if you know what I mean (and I am sure you do)
I will re-state that I personally believe Malky deserves this season as a minimum, though
Sun Dec 22, 2013 4:56 pm
This means we have to keep going with the protests. He is one serious slimeball bully.
He will end up sacking Malky eventually and he will lie to us again.
All bullies when exposed for what they are, use lies to placate their opposers.
F@ck him.........WE MUST NOT STOP HERE..........next stop - getting back the bluebird and blue shirts.

Exactly. We should never trust him again.
If he has his way we'll be Cardiff Lucky Dragons FC. Its inevitable.
If we let this go, we deserve everything thats coming.
Sun Dec 22, 2013 5:04 pm
Time for Malky to put this to the test and negotiate for a transfer budget. Lets find out if this is a real opportunity to save the season or if it's just because the board and Tan are scared of losing the next few games if they sack Malky.
Tremendous performance by the away support yesterday. Time will tell, but you just might have sung us to a second premier league season.

glenn hoddle seems to think you changed his mind for him.well the one,s at anfield in particular.just a stunt to cool you lot down a bit.go for it now.return to blue and sack the beermat .kro.
