4 days later :ayatollah:

In a scheduled Board meeting, the Board of Directors of Cardiff City Football Club met yesterday, 14th October 2013. The Manager, Malky Mackay, was present by invitation as will be the case for all future board meetings.

All aspects and matters relating to the present and the future of the Club were fully discussed. In order for the Club to grow and sustain its ability to be a competitive force in the Premier League, the Board has made a number of decisions which will strengthen the Club, support the Executive team, Manager and his staff and enhance shareholder return. Needless to say, the Board discussed the events of the last two weeks in detail.

The following resolutions were made:-

1. The Board will be restructured with immediate effect to include the following committees:

a. The Nomination and Corporate Governance Committee chaired by Mehmet Dalman. Its main responsibilities will be:

· to support the Manager, Malky Mackay, on all player purchases and sales. All transfer dealings will be conducted subject to the Manager's final approval.

· to establish clear Corporate Governance procedures across the Club.

b. An Audit Committee, chaired by Michael Filiou. Its main responsibility will be:

· to review and make recommendations to strengthen the internal financial controls within the Club and benchmark the Club’s financials.

c. Health & Safety Committee, chaired by Steve Borley. Its main responsibility will be:

· to enhance the Club’s operations to the highest standards in health & safety.

d. Special Committee for the expansion of Cardiff City Stadium – chaired by Steve Borley to oversee current East Stand expansion plans.

2. Tan Sri Vincent Tan has agreed to write off interest of approximately £5.8 million on previous loans made to the Club and stated that all future loans up to an aggregate value of £50 million will also be interest free.

3. The Board ratified the appointments of Mehmet Dalman as director and Chairman of the Board, Michael Filiou as non-executive director, and Amir Fitzhugh as Company Secretary. The Board ratified the resignation of Mr Len Win Kong as a director of the Club.

The Board believes that these changes establish a solid foundation for the Club to grow. The changes were unanimously agreed by the entire Board and the Manager, Malky Mackay. Tan Sri Vincent Tan and the shareholding members of the Board are fully in agreement with the above decisions. The shareholders, Board and Manager are fully committed to the long-term success of Cardiff City Football Club.

Once again the Board thanks Tan Sri Vincent Tan for writing off the interest on his loans to Cardiff City FC, further demonstrating his generosity and support of this Club.

This should be a sticky not the rubbish
Continually knocking V. Tan. Most of which is rumour. Why should he make a statement when his Chairman ( incidently who is not a yes man) has already made it clear the manager is staying. The manager said he's staying so let's get on with supporting and stop this eternal criticism of our club.

Wez this statement is just a general statement. When Tan has been put on the spot by journalists in recent interviews he has either dodged the question or failed to back Malky in line with the clubs general comments which is always going to be a worry.

What makes me laugh about threads like this is that it is a simple case of using the argument to suit the agenda.

Tan said if he left the club becuase the fans were rude to him he would leave it in a good condition.

So my question if you believe he supports Malky then do you believe if we asked him to leave he would leave us in a good condition?

You should not question if these fans support the club as it their concern of how the club is heading which is at the heart of the critisism of Tan. As for having agendas then if you class a fans concern about a club they love as being an agenda then that sits fine with me. What you should be worried of however is the hidden agenda of our beloved owner. :ayatollah:

evil. Liar. Dictator. Lunatic. Insane. Etc etc.
Little critisism you must be having a laugh in my book far too much critisism to mention.Did he not play some part in saving the club.

Fair play for making the thread a sticky. Perhaps those who have shown to be totally anti never mind what good he does can.
1. Give an alternative to Tan after he's forced out by them as has been suggested after he turns debt to equity.
2. The op has backed his argument by showing official club statements Contrary to that claimed.now can the anti Tan brigade qualify by showing quotes that Tan wants rid of the manager.official quotes only please not rumour from Western Mail head of sport . Quotes from the club or Tan only .

I think you over estimate your influence Ian. You may as well try and get to the moon. You are just as likely to do that as get Tan out. As proven by the pitiful backing of BU had there is no mass anti Tan movement. The majority are grateful for what he has done in stabilising our club.

Thats a fair question Allan. In my opinion Tan is only in it to make a profit out of us. He is clearly not a football man and has not bought us for the love of the game. He saw potential and gambled on us and it has other spin offs for him as well such as exposure to a world wide tv audience which raises his profile back home and further afield. I do think however that when the time is right he will simply cash in as if it were another business deal. I dont blame him for that but he could have got the same result without the upheaval of the rebrand.

Wez this statement is just a general statement. When Tan has been put on the spot by journalists in recent interviews he has either dodged the question or failed to back Malky in line with the clubs general comments which is always going to be a worry.

probably cause hes sick to death of the questions from the media remember his life is not cardiff city he has many businesses other wise why do we have a board or a chairmen ? the chairmen has said he staying, we should just move on from all this bullshit and support the team :ayatollah:

Fairplay wez you never miss an opportunity to defend Tan. I sometimes wonder what he would have to do to generate a tiny bit of critisism. :ayatollah:

And you never miss an opportunity to 'knock' anything about him, fella ;)

I sometimes wonder what he would have to do to generate a tiny piece of appreciation for what he has POSITIVELY done for Cardiff City FC :ayatollah:

Just pointing out how easily words can be 'twisted' and regurgitated to suit individual agendas, eh? ;) :laughing6:

He has done lots of positive things for the club. Getting HMRC off our back the best one, paying for a promotion winning squad next.

People forget that Tan took back his plans for rebrand but also his offer of investment and it was the backlash from Cardiff fans who persuaded him we wanted the investment and by definition the rebrand.
