That confuses me too. I never knew we had any intention of making the whole staium two tier. I thought only the ninian stand would be two tier and the family and canton stands would just be filled in to the back of the concourse.

I'm guessing the first two pics are the proposed expansion next summer, whereas the second two pics show what could be possible in the future.
I've never seen/heard of a second tier on the canton/grange before either.

Is the Ninian second tier corporate ?
I was hoping to move from the family over to the ninian now the nippers are not babies.
Have they mentioned pricing bands ?

I was talking to a lad whom was working on the ground work at the rear of the Ninian Stand and I asked him what was the extra capacity and when would it be finished ,he told another 5000 seats were being added and would be completed in August.
He also told me that the addition of 5000 seats per section were the next stage in the other three remaining stands.

There are currently plans to take it up to approx 38,000, that's with the extra tier on the Canton and Grange

Looking forward to standing in the Canton top tier mind

Looks great, but I would be concerned if those 'ends' were left 'open to the elements'

As exciting as it is, I still think it's too early. We should expand after 3 years in the premier league (if we survive for that long).

We're a club with huge potential so I don't see why not. We had 28,000 on the weekend, a few extra thousand seats won't hurt even if we go down.

We do have potential, I agree. I just think we need to be patient. Ah we, can't wait until it's installed now.

I think it has something to do with the Financial Fair Play rules that are talked about. If that comes in you can only spend a certain percentage of the income you get, but I may be wrong. So I think that means you need to spend now before the restricitions come in.

Also, worst case scenario if we do go down we get the parachute payments and if we can keep 70% of the squad, we would be one of the favorites to bounce back up. Could see us getting 30K plus in the Champ with a semi decent squad.

This looks very promising but they also need to consider the parking and the travel infrastructure .
It's a nightmare now ,then add another potential 10K!!!

Definitely go for the expansion now - having a bigger stadium makes a big difference revenue wise, just look at Arsenal. We were getting 25K+ in the championship, so if we get relegated with 38K capacity then give some seats to local youngsters for free now and then or if after a couple of seasons in perm the support might still be there strong to keep it full.
