Who has been leaking inside info to the Daily Mail?

Wed Oct 09, 2013 4:59 pm

I have wondered about this for some while.
Our summer transfer activity has been very well reported in the Daily Mail and they have obviously been very well informed by someone at the club(where else could it have come from?).
Last week out of the blue they report the bonus fallout.

Perhaps this is not unconnected to Mr Moody's suspension.

Wasn't Moody's early career spent in press, guess he would still have contacts. Would defy be classed as gross misconduct.

I was wondering the same, also interviewed daily mail hour I today on radio Wales. Someone is too blame, when found that person has to be removed from position.

You may have a point. A more pressing concern is Tan putting this painter in charge of recruitment, instead of leaving the selection to Malky... Or even just putting a suitably experienced man in the job.

Agreed Chucks. If it is true about Moody leaking info etc, then I'm sure Malky will be in the process of getting a new lad in to do the job. If not, well I don't know what they hell's going on.

gotta agree with you chuckles. It just seems baffling to even have this guy anywhere near such positions at the club

For once I agree with Chuckle, the only thing I don't think that links up is that Moody is on gardening leave so he's still being paid, so maybe he's being used in a different role?

Is it paid leave pending an investigation

Having raid Mr Tan's statement this morning it seems leaks to London newspapers were (rightly) taken seriously.

As to Mr Moody's replacement, I would be surprised if this is anything other than a temporary appointment. Perhaps it is a provocation to Malky. Did Malky know who was leaking to the Mail? He must have been aware of the Mail's reports and surely had an idea where they came from .

I do find it interesting that in the majority of Malky's interviews over the last few months he has been bigging up his (and Moody's) recruitment of players in terms of their notional value against price paid and how clever it has been.(I'm not sure Brayford was ever mentioned!). Sounds a bit like broadcasting a CV.

Malky has also been asking for continuity.

Something has been stirring for a while.Don't believe that Mallky isn't capable of playing a game and looking out for himself.Don't believe it's impossible that he hasn't been doing exactly that.

I'm sanguine about the whole thing but don't forget that in business terms Mr Tan has most to loose from things going tits up and he will do what he thinks he needs to do to avoid that which may include a mangement change.
