M4 ROADWORKS????

Whats the roadwork situation like on the M4??? Coming through monmouth! The last time i came down on a friday nite it took me 2hours from me getting onto the M4 to penarth because the lanes were closed and sections were diverted!!!!!! It only took me two and a half hours from Barnsley to the m4 section then depression set in!!!!!! Any imformation would be gratefull!!!!!! cheers!!!!

Sam, Since the M4 for some reason changed it to 50 miles an hour, it hasnt improved it at all, just dont drive between 4pm-6pm through it, the best advice I can offer.

Thanks! it was 9pm when i hit the m4 for the newcastle game on the friday night! it took 2 hrs to travel the last 18miles because they were working on sections of the road! i did'nt think i would have a problem as that time of night? Just chaotic people switching lanes the last minute!!
