Would be a brilliant buy. Done well last season.

Just seen this, cracking centre back, but can't quite see it happening. He's very much part of their first team now

Fits as a typical Malky signing - shown some decent ability, still young and room for further improvement. Seems ironic that he has been on loan to both of our main rivals - Bristol City and the Jacks!
I rate him, though.

Would be a great signing, but can't see it coming off.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 11:16 am
Can't see it happening as they only have Vertonghen(Injured for a few weeks), Kaboul and Dawson. But an incredible signing if we did pull it off, fast CB who is near the England squad!

Likes the roulette; always down the bay. Nice bloke to talk to and he loved the batter because he was at the Jacks. Good signing thou and would be a strong player in back 4.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 11:21 am
Would assume it'd be a loan though surely?
Tue Jul 30, 2013 11:29 am
Could be the difference between staying up or going down getting Caulks.Very good player and I bet most jacks would have him back in a heartbeat,I know I would.
Would have to be a loan though, surely.Too good a player to let go permanently, even for Spurs.

I assume it would be a loan. He's a quality player.

Exactly the defender we need, Williams with his level headedness (similar to Hudson) and Caulker's quality done you wonders, so I think with this signing, we would definitely be equipped

Never heard if him

Just a hopeful observation

To be fair why would you. He's only an england international, played for your two main rivals and spurs. Complete unkown.
On a serious not be amazed if you signed him as he is the golden boy at spurs and rightly so. Will be Englands main CB for years to come and will be Spurs best CB as he gains more experience. Why they would loan him to you would be a mystery as what can he or they gain? And if they sell him to anybody then they are insane. PS not a dig at you in any way you could substitue CCFC for SCFC and I would make the same point

If this miracle does happen, that's comforting to know

Would love him here, all depending on what the price tag is though, he's young and English, odds are he's gunna be overpriced...
Tue Jul 30, 2013 12:15 pm
Very good defender, I think we will be very good defensively next season if we pull it off along with Capoue and Moreno.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 12:26 pm
Would be an incredible signing.
He's done well for Spurs when called up and, in all fairness, had a great season with Swansea.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 12:41 pm
No chance, unless Spurs have got a couple of centre halfs lined up. Hes very much part of their match day squad now.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:03 pm
A mate of mine is a spurs fan (I know it counts for jack-shit!), but he reckons AVB prefers a small squad! He always thought Caulks (as he calls him!) would move on loan, ready for Dawson's exit.

What manager would want a small squad?
'Hey you know what, let's not have a replacement for anyone'
Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:06 pm
If we was to pull this off that would be incredible.
But he will be part of AVB plans surely?
Also didn't he score against us for Bristol when we won 3-2?
Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:07 pm
Unless Spurs are in for a new centre back, I can't see them letting Caulker leave. He had a good season for them last year.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:07 pm
No chance of this happening, he should be playing regularly for Spurs next season. He wasn't available for loan last season, and on the back of a better season than expected he's not going to be available for loan this season. It would be a step backwards in his career to the stage he was at in 2011 when he joined us, he's moved on since then and will be looking to establish himself as a regular for Spurs and England in the next couple of years and his best chance of doing that is staying with Spurs.
I wouldn't be surprised if you were in for him, but like with a lot of your targets you need to get realistic.
Tue Jul 30, 2013 1:09 pm
I think Spurs will go after a new centre back. You look at the players linked with Villas Boas and you know its only a matter of time before a player like Caulker is facing the exit door. He's a good player but Spurs can and will get better on the continent.
