" NOW OUR CLUB IS FINALLY MOVING FORWARD, BUT IF ONLY "

Tue Jul 23, 2013 6:43 pm

Surely this date will go down as great day for Cardiff City
' 22nd July 2013 '
Langston debt finally signed this morning, the paper work was signed in their lawyers offices this morning.
Vincent Tan and Langston/Sam Hammam have finally sorted the historic Langston Debt.

All I can say is I am finally glad its all over and Our Club and us fans can move on, but what it does say and show that Langston did have a case all along as other wise £15 mill, plus shares, plus Sam having his own Directors joining the board, would not have happened.
Bit by bit over this coming season the whole truth will come out once and for all.

What is great is that both Tan and Sam get on really well, they have had over 20 odd private meetings and plenty of time out away from the club and other staff members etc.
Sam said last night, Tan doesnt just want to survive in the Premier League, he wants to be up there with the best and challenge for everything.

The way some fans have reacted you would think they had wanted this deal to fail.

There had to be a deal done no matter what fans believe, want to believe or even go as far as drumming up malicious lies.

What you have now is Tan with the money brains and Sam with the football knowledge(never been relegated/never lost contact with the football world). For those that love Tan but hate Sam even though Sam started this whole dream, then surely if Tan is happy to work with Sam it cant be bad?

Tan now has to turn the debt in to equity/shares and judging by what he has done so far he will.

Tan went straight back to Malaysia to start another big deal and is not expected back till August.

But I keep saying to myself and I bet thousands of other fans keep saying it, if only we had kept our Identity, this could of been so much better, the feelings and passion for me would of been so much greater.

Like I have said before, I support my team Cardiff City, but I dont have to support and agree with the Regime, until we get our Identity back.

For now I will wear my BLUE, cheer my team on no matter what and look forward to a tough but very exciting season ahead in the PREMIER LEAGUE. :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

SO IT LOOKS LIKE OUR CLUB IS REALLY MOVING FORWARD   :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Annis you sound really positive about things[rebrand apart] but tell me,what do you believe Sams role will be,and do you think Tan will allow him to influence Malky in any way?

Annis you're wrong about Tan not being back until mid August, I know for a fact that he'll be here on Tues 30th July.

Just leave it alone and move on. I don't think many people are really interested in any drip feeding of 'The Whole Truth.' Deal done monkey off our back. Club in good hands and good times ahead.

Sam will have nothing to do with Malky or the team nor will he be involved in recruitment of players

Annis, as you well know, we would never have started the journey to the Premier League without Sam. In my eyes he just tried to go too far too soon, he loves Cardiff City with a passion but at the same time is a very successful businessman. Lets hope the two combine and he helps VT take us to glories that were a decade ago beyond our wildest dreams :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Sam Hammam is still a scamming b*stard.

I don't know where this myth that he's some great football guru has come from. He signed over priced players many of them over rated. On stupid wages an made rediculous claims that we could be bigger then Barcelona that were just cringe worthy.

The only thing he deserves credit for is starting a academy.

Not as devout as most on here, so if Tan converts his debt to shares he really has kept all his side of the bargain. I doubt I will ever wear a red top, but I will support Tan every step of the way.....

i enjoyed reading your posting and found it both positive and encouraging, until you got to that lost identity bull shit........a football league club looses its identity the moment it goes bust and into liquidation, with no hope of a return to the big time, and if truth be told it wont matter a jot what colour shirts they were wearing at the time

Quote (from ForeverBlue): "The way some fans have reacted you would think they had wanted this deal to fail"

Unfortunately, Annis, I think this was true and somewhat sinister :(

As I said elsewhere, this deal HAS to be good for Cardiff City FC AND its genuine supporters, as the club can now move on with an air of positivity about its financial and structural position :ayatollah:

That Sam has been paid at all is a vindication of his/Langston's position and also of the information people like yourself and others close to Sam provided. Anything else would surely have seen Vincent Tan pursue a non-payment strategy ;)

Personally, I am glad it is all over and I am glad Sam has been given an 'honorary' position (away from influence on club finances) because he was after all the man who started the snowball rolling; albeit with a certain recklessness that almost took us to the wall. However, if we are honest with ourselves, very few (if any) of us who were there complained at the time, as we were all intoxicated with Sam's personality, character and enthusiasm ;)

It's time to move on and it's time to forgive and forget all that has gone before. Why? Because what is done is done and cannot be reversed. Cardiff City FC and its supporters have a bright future ahead and it is that we need to be concentrating on :ayatollah:

Vincent Tan (and now Sam) have delivered on their promises and each deserves credit for their part in the Cardiff City Story - Millennium Chapter. Nice one gents! :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

From the newspaper interview given by Sam it would appear that is absolutely correct. What Sam did say though is he has VT's ear and will give advice if it is sought. If VT disagrees then that's the end of the matter and that is as far as Sam's influence goes.

Personally I am very pleased that there is an experienced old head around willing to give free advice if needed.

To my knowledge SH has never worked with anyone succesfully or for any great length of time, in his time involved with football. He has always been the man at the top, handing out orders, some say dictating, even Gwyn has said many a time, that he loves the guy but could never work for him. He brought Ridsdale in to head up the club, and only lasted 12 months once he had lost most of his power, so I can only see at some point, conflict between SH and VT, which undoubtedly will be bad for the club, the extent of which we will not know until it happens.
Annis, has mentioned Sams football knowledge and acumen, but I don't really see, how Malky or any manager would welcome any interference from a man who has no football qualification and has been away from the football world for years. Another area of conflict?
Sams interview mentions getting behind Tan and making him feel loved, there is one easy peezy way of gaining that from 100% of the fan base, return the blue and the badge, simple.

Thanks, fella (and to Tony Blue Williams) :ayatollah:

Despite what one or two prefer to think I am/was never a pro-red. However, I am intelligent enough to see 'the bigger picture' in what Tan is trying to do and personally the good currently outweighs the bad by some distance. I don't disrespect Bluebirds United but cannot 'support' their current cause because (a) I believe some of its members are contradicting and adding to its stated purpose, and (b) it simply won't change under Vincent Tan :| :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Glad the debts gone, hate the fact Scam is anywhere near our club, biggest bull shitter ever seen at this club an even bigger bull shitter than Ridsdale and now that is saying something. You've had your money stay away Sam for the sake of the club you profess to love (pfffft) so much.
