" WEST HAM TICKET UPDATE "

Tue Jul 16, 2013 6:29 pm

The qualification has now dropped to season tickets holders who attended 2 championship away games last season for the fixture at West ham this will be available from tomorrow morning.

Ticket sales have been steady and stand at around 1000. This Friday at the close of trading the football club will have to give west ham the amount of tickets they require.

The criteria for ticket allocation in the premier league is as follows; Minimum of 3000 tickets or 10% of the capacity which ever is lower. The firs 1500 tickets allocated to the away club is on sale and return basis. The away club has to give their ticket requirements 4 weeks before the fixture is played. after 1500 they are broken into blocks and in West ham case they are around 500 per block up to 3100. what ever amount over the 1500 Cardiff request they must pay for 50% of them at adult price. any that are not taken up can be sold to the home supporters.

If ticket sales are still slow and we get to Friday 100-200 short of 1500 I would imagine cardiff will not take the next block over and keep to 1500. It will be a risk if they don't sell 250 of that extra 500. It works out £4200 per 100 tickets they don't sell

The club may look to reduce the qualification even lower on Thursday I've been told to season ticket holders and members, but the fact of the matter is this season people need to get into the habit of booking away tickets early.

I am sure holiday time, price and ticket exchange have not helped but if you are thinking of going book now.

For those travelling on the CCS coaches :D :D :malky: :malky: :ayatollah: :ayatollah: you can book now and pay for the ticket later as long as its before the 17th August so if you are strapped for cash middle of the month and all that why not book with us Bluebirds

Fairplay to you for offering this service Vince.

You do an amazing job mate and I'm sure it will help a lot more people make a lot more games this season.

I think the club should just lower the criteria and sell the 3000!

Yes I think that what will happen if I was a betting man

yer I think they should drop restictions and sell the lot, plenty of people waiting to
go but with holidays they need to know quickly they can get a tkt

I think the club could be under estimating what they could sell.

My daughter has been a ST holder for years but never wanted to travel away with me. She pipes up a few weeks ago and wants to do some away games.

Sure it's the draw of the Premier League, but I never thought she'd travel away so for her to consider it there must be hundreds more as well.

I am sure she will get an opportunity the way it is going mate

I work on a saturday morning so rarely make aways!!

However I thought folk would be clambering over this one!!!

You got people on holls I suppose, then you got the ticket price, then voucher exchange and a f*cking qualification rule as well!!

Suppose the combination of the lot effects this!!

If it was Man U then there wouldn't be a problem

Struggling to sell tickets for west ham? Giving it the Big one with this 3 aways crap and now their begging people to buy them, only in cardiff

Well I'm surprised at this ,I thought you'd have more than sold your allocation for this one ,it looks like even the supporters from the massive clubs are struggling

I only went to 1 away last season so will have to wait still but the price of £42 plus travel etc is putting me off a bit

Money's tight for a lot of people these days, this doesn't surprise me.
Also some pubs will show every Cardiff game home and away. :ayatollah:

I think the horrible ticket prices with no student(or at least U18 option) is the reason why there hasn't been a big amount of interest in it. I'm sorry but 42 quid for a ticket to go watch a team like West Ham is atrocious. They aren't even that good. I'd pay this for some of the top clubs but West Ham are far from being a club I'd pay that for.

2 seasons ago we sold out very quickly for our visits to West Ham. Ok the prices were around £27 but for an extra £15 you can witness us in the top league for the first time in 50 years.

This price excuse is bollocks.

This exaactly I would love to go our 1st Premier League game but I dont think I can justify spending £80 plus for ticket , travel etc for a day out when I'm really strapped for cash

Price excuse isn't bollocks at all. We sold out a 2000 allocation in the Championship where they were a big Championship side. An extra 15 pound to see us in a league we were in 51 years ago(just a rebranded Division One) definitely won't hurt me missing it, would rather staple my arse hole than hand over that amount of money to the grotty owners of West Ham

Lets be honest if there had been no criteria of 3 awaygames we would have sold out already. The club would be stupid not to take the full 3000 because they will sell them all

Hardly struggling. If the club releases them to ST holders and away members they would all be gone by friday

if from day one. you put them on general sale they would have been sold, but you got to go through this procedure . of season ticket holders first, then the next one, then you go to, gold members, then silver, its complicated, its fair. but too many obsticles for some that want to go,

We only took over a thousand to the first away as a lot boycotted because of the restrictions an price for the playoffs it was 2,000 don't think it was sold out

Couldnt make an away game last season for once but with the restrictions for the first few away games looks like I wont be able to get a ticket. Hopefully if they still have plenty to sell they will drop the restricitons :ayatollah:
