A site like that is a million times better than a full lego ground like we have now. I bet the noise was immense. Although the must've had a hard time trying to make people sit down

I think the aerial pic of NP was the Arsenal game played on 22 April 1953, att 57,893, a club record.
The "old" Bob Bank was roofed around 1957/8, i believe.

Cigarette advertisers must have a been a nightmare as you can only see the product if you are in an airoplane ,parachute or Zeppelin,pretty much paralleled to the health and safety cigarette laws enforced these days

I believe you are correct as I have spotted the tenacious Scottish midfielder Jimmy Logie in the Arsenal colours third left bottom of picture .

annis they reckoned that all you could smell was piss in those days because people pissed where they stood due to being shoulder to shoulder and not enough toilets!

I recall my father telling me when he used to go down the City in 50's.
Apparently they run train specials to the home games
