Euro 2020

Uefa have just confirmed that this will be held across 13 cities, what a total bunch of jerks Platini and his cronies are. IMO this is just because not enough countries that would have suited UEFA put their names forward as I think it was only the 3 celtic nations and Turkey that put themselves forward but they didn't want to award it to Turkey in case they got the 2020 Olympics.

NOT THAT WALES WOULD BE GETTING THERE ANYWAY!

Must make the Millennium a shoe in for a group now though as we were part of a potential bid.

It makes perfect sense for them to have it over multiple countries .
If it works platini will look a genious
They wont have to pay out for the legacy part of the tournament they normally do by helping host countries build suitable stadiums and infrastructure because they know they can choose stadiums that are allready built and suitable and will save uefa hundreds of millions boosting there coffers .

Compared to 1 country hosting a whole tournament , minimal planning will be needed to send games to different places .
No having to ensure every team has suitable training facilities , no worrys about hundreds of thousands of opposing countrys fans all being in the same town centres as each other minimising the chances of hooliganism and saving money on police costs.

It would also increase Wales chances of holding a game as it will be based on the under 17 tournament where each group was held in a different country . with the ccs , liberty and millenium we are more than capable of hosting one of the groups but will not be allowed due to the seeding rule they wish to apply . That consists of the top 7/8 seeded teams each holding a group each as they will not be playing each other , then the quarters , semis and final in different stadium .(millenium could come in here )

Its not a bad idea really and it will be the 60th year of the tournament so will look like a celebration event !
