Far too often we read "I heard from a reliable source" or "I'm in the know" etc.

If a journalist carried on like this he would be rightly slated.

This causes bad publicity for the club and makes us fans look like idiots.

Either put up or shut up.

I agree but their work is backed up with substance.

Most of the shite here is just that.....shite.

99% of what the tabloids print are rumours.

We aren't journalists.

Journalists work is 99% unofficial sources.

That's why they always use language like "It is understood" so if they get it wrong they can claim they were misinformed.
