help wanted

just got a new desktop pc zoostorm its ok just the fan is so noisey ..any ideas about changing it ?????? thx

Turn off the computer by the back switch. Once you have done that open the casing. Remove the current fan in there and unplug it from either the motherboard of Power Supply Unit. If its a CPU fan its likely to be connected to the motherboard. If its a case fan its likely to be connected to the Power Supply Unit directly.

Once you have done that insert new fan in the old fans position (get the same size fan) and then attach it. Some use pop its to hold it in place which can be quite fiddly, others use screws which are easier. Once it's firmly in place connect the fan to the motherboard of Power Supply Unit.

Before putting the case back together turn the computer on and check the fan is working correctly. Also, whilst it is open check for damage on other fans and clean them off. Do not vacuum them.
