Cant remember the story but who was the player who pretended to be a professional footballer related to george weah or something and im sure southampton played him in their first team for a game... He couldnt even kick the ball! Anyone remember this and know the story??

dont know the george weah story but remember the italian kid who pretended he was a huge star and got sent on loan to bangor

that was Ali Dia, he rang graeme souness when he was at southampton and pretended to be George Weah and said his cousin was amazing, his name is Ali Dia. Souness fell for it, flew him over and without seeing him train made him come on as a sub, he was then subbed himself 10mins later.

Ah right! Fair play to him tho takes some balls to do that! He got 10 mins of premier league football didnt he?
