Isn't the answer 'what they had to'. I don't think the club wanted them to have any shares at all

From memory , we paid 35p a share for the 1st £1,000 worth (Ridsdale claimed that was the market value at the time!!) , but then the same as everybody else - 15.69p - when we bought the 2nd tranche of £6,000 worth.

His best deal though Steve was selling the £500,000 worth that were gifted to his company WH Sports by the club to himself for just £20,000 not long before WH Sports went into insolvent liquidation.

Part of the reason he got disqualified from being a company director last year for 9 years.

yes keith remember it well. you or i would have gone to prison for what he done with that company. I seem to remember he took loans out aginst the value of those shares before offloading them to himself. still i expect he is still getting his cut out of compass at the ccs to keep himself going

But he now owns £200 of shares now and wants the club to succeed so it makes him rich, sill lonely, odd, and a square peg in around hole, but a rich one.
