so let me get this right

S.T holders, new S.T holders, away members and everyone else have to wait for the slowest special delivery ever yet people who may have brought a ticket in the past god knows how many years would have brought a final ticket today and given it to them today ?

Is this really what's happening ?

Not strictly true, hence the club setting up eticketing.

People will still get their tickets and see the game

Christ if they managed it at Ninian with the old shitty systems, im sure they could manage it now.

Im not saying everyone needed to queue but the ones obsessing about having tickets asap should have.

The point being that the vast majority of loyal supporters have been conned by the club regarding this special delivery charge. 30000 x 5 makes the club a cool 150000 when they could have put a first class stamp on it and they would have got here by now.

no. Its not the slowest special delivery ever. The tickets haven't been sent out yet. When they ARE sent out (today and tomorrow), they will get the usual special delivery service i.e. next day delivery. Those people that needed them asap DID have the option of going to the stadium in person.

I've queued in the past and hated it, so I decided to use eticketing this time and I expected to have to wait, because I know how our club works.

A couple of my mates are keen to have them now but, if I haven't received them by Thursday, I'll be jumping on a train to Cardiff. Good excuse for a day out and a couple of pints.

You seem to be assuming that everyone can get down to the stadium on a regular basis when that's not true.

I think they're being sent out today and tomorrow according to Media Department

You would be happy with your tickets going by first class post
and im pretty sure the club wont be making all that, surely its not free to send recorded delivery?

Well if they cant queue then they just have to wait like everyone else. As soon as the club released the tickets through the post special delivery is next day delivery. Games not until Sunday

The big special delivery sticker on the envelope and the fact that they have to be signed for will be the give away as to whether the club have conned anyone and made money out of this

I'm not assuming anything. Just stating that the option was there for those that needed them asap and couldnt wait for them to be posted out this week.

Thank you, club spokesperson. Yes, we all know when the game is - and also when we ordered the tickets. I ordered something online after I ordered my tickets and received my other order within days. Sad, but true.

I'm stating that lots of our fans can't get to the CCS as often as others, due to work commitments etc and rely on the club to offer other options that work more efficiently than this.

Same for me, I ordered my final tickets a week last Sunday which haven't come yet.
Then ordered my Wales tickets on Thursday and they came today.

This is why the club need to shake things up and make their ticket dealings more efficient. Bad service drives customers away, whether it's in football or a shop or wherever.

How is this not efficient? Now that sales are complete, the tickets can be sent out and will be received by Thursday, according to the club, 3 days before the match.

Ticket office has always been a joke.

It seems they are going to do all the Carling Cup tickets together in one batch, unlike other tickets they are being sent recorded which guarantees next day delivery so its not such a problem.

Re: so let me get this right

Tue Feb 21, 2012 4:08 pm

Why have they waited until today and tomorrow to send them out though?

Why the delay?

Is it the case they haven't got the Resource to pop a sticker on an Envelope?

Re: so let me get this right

Tue Feb 21, 2012 4:09 pm

why would anyone care when they get them so long as they've got them before sunday?

moaning for the sake of moaning, and thats coming from someone who loves a moan

If you consider it so, go and work at the club and deal with all the complaints. Good luck with that.

Truth is, many other companies deal with matters far more efficiently than this and the club, in my opinion and that of some other City fans, have made themselves look lower league again.

It's a shame, because I would like CCFC to catch up with the modern world. They've moved on from the days when I started watching them in 1976 (by a long way), but they still have a long way to go, in my opinion.

When I spoke to the bloke from Ticketmaster, when they rang me back on Monday of last week (after the initial shambles), he laughed when I suggested I would receive them on Monday or Tuesday of this week. He said "oh no, they won't take that long."

Here I am, still without tickets.
