Earnie returned from holiday today. I am aware that Gethin Jenkins made a call to Earnie earlier this week and talks are set to continue now that he is back in the UK.

Earnie wants the move and does not intend moving back to Forest as since he has been there he has been burgled twice and for the sake of his family he wants away. Other clubs are showing interest in him as well with Blackpool, Celtic, Palace and Birmingham(before McLeish left) all keen.

Earnie wants this move to be the last of his career but he hopes that it will be back home to Cardiff as this is where he wants to end his time in football as a player.

I have spoken to several people regarding Earnshaw and the hope is Earnie could soon be wearing the blue of Cardiff again.

It would be brilliant to see Earnie in a City shirt again. The last time I seen him wearing our shirt was a pre-season friendly against Lazio.

im delighted to the fact that earnie may be returning!


hes still a great finisher as proven against swansea in play offs and in home nations game in dublin..

remember forest had about 5 or 6 forwards last year so he was never always going to play every game, but he still scored 6 goals in his last 10 games.. plus alot of his appearances where off the bench. still almost 40 goals in 87 appearances for forest is superb..

We've had enough of inconsistent players surely?

Personally i think Earnie can still get 15 - 20 goals in the Championship and by coming home with the support he will get i think he has still got 2 decent seasons in him

We are all clamouring for a player we have not seen in years because
of what he did for us back then. Lets not forget he scored the majority
of his City goals in the lower divisions. And there must be some reason
he is always on the bench???

Taffy, I think the difference between the two is that Koumas rarely played whilst Earnie has been getting game time and scoring goals.
