Leicester City have agreed terms for the transfer of West Bromwich Albion striker Chris Wood.

The New Zealand international, 21, is expected to complete his move once the January transfer window opens.

Wood has been prolific on loan at Millwall, scoring 11 goals in 19 games this term but has made just six starts in three years for his parent club.

The transfer fee is believed to be in the region of £1m, according to BBC Radio Leicester.

Wood, recalled from his loan at The Den on Friday , said he would consider his future in January after finding his first-team opportunities limited at The Hawthorns.

"Leicester have shown a great interest in Chris," said Albion assistant manager Keith Downing.

"He's done exceptionally well at Millwall and we've brought him back here. I expect the move to be done when the transfer window opens."
