WHY IS THE CLUB WAITING

Thu Jan 05, 2012 10:14 am

Till the 2nd half of January to sort out loan players, prem clubs are loaning players out NOW :o . If Malky has been given money lets get the players in before the ones he is after have been snapped up by our rivals. In Oct/Nov we were waiting for the clubs in the carling cup to be knocked out so we could bring players in "that didn't happen" :( , a lot can be said but until a player has the City shirt on his back its just talk i hope its not this time. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

i think he is waiting because he wants a week or two off.....

oh no wait its because he has said loads of times that he is waiting for the premier league clubs to sign players so they then can sign other players he wants that are now surplus to requirements. he isnt going to sign players fo rthe sake of it but players he wants. im guessing that if he cant get them early and easy its because there going to be pretty damn good players !!

be patient

i think its to do with prem clubs submitting 25man sqauds.so harry rednapp fancies signing 2players he won,t let any loans go till he has them .when he has them then 2 players become surplus.they either play reserve football or get loaned out then

I am happy to wait as long as come the end of the loan window we dont hear "the right players were not available" again.

As Leeds proved with Andros Townsend you can get quality young PL players on loan early doors.

deals have been agreed to bring players in however they are dependent on those Premier league Clubs bringing in replacements themselves first :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Act in haste and repent at your leisure. If Malky is of the opinion that certain players are worth playing a waiting game for then I'm with him all the way, he's been faultless up to this point IMO. :D

Im sure I read that we had to wait for the premiership clubs to be bringing in players to then see who they are going to release unless of course we hope to bring in someone from outside that remit, I suppose we also have to release some of our own to free funds. Whatever the reason, In Malky we trust :ayatollah:

Why are we all of a sudden talking about the loan market,i thought Malky had enough of a budget to pay a transfer fee for players,ok I'm getting on a bit and may not have been paying enough attention but i would have also thought we would have learnt from last season the pitfalls of going into the loan market, i agree with the comment about why are we waiting?i hate to say this again about Malky but i cant help but feel for one reason or another he is dithering which i agree seems out of character

By luck, judgement, fate, whichever way you want to look at it. Malky has
got a terrific squad of players here with great team spirit. He has got the
mix just right. Whoever comes in has got to fit the mould. By default, this
narrows down his choices. The next two players through the door could see
us playing Premiership Football next season. I just think he's determined to
get it right. A chairmans dream actually he is. Look at Goodwillie at Blackburn,
Le Fondre at Reading... highly thought of but neither have set the world on
fire.

If we sign no-one I would still have every faith in this bunch of players to deliver promotion.

I trust Malky all the way, but has he said that he has been given a pot of money to buy/loan players. If we could guarantee no injurys i think the current squad could go all the way, i just dont want to see at the end of january no new players :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

What would happen if we bought players early like we have in the past, then a few get injured in certain posittions?
We would be left with no funding then until the end of the season.... :( :(
It could be a blessing in disguise.

I thought that after the transfer deadline, (yesterday) the loan window (emergency) does not open for another week and you can only loan players for up to 3 months, where as any loan deals done yesterday can be until the end of the season, i,m sure that is the reason!!!!!
