HEAD OF RECRUITMENT FORCED TO STEP DOWN OVER VISA

Thu Oct 31, 2013 3:41 pm

All over Sky Sports News, newspaper online accounts.

Thursday 31st October 2013.

Cardiff City are working to ease visa worries over controversial new Head of Recruitment Alisher Apsalyamov after being visited by Home Office officials this week.

WalesOnline understands immigration officials spoke to senior Bluebirds staff on Tuesday regarding the work permit situation of Apsalyamov, the 23-year-old Kazakh having attracted headlines when he stepped into transfer chief Iain Moody’s role in an acting capacity last month.

It has been claimed Apsalyamov – a friend of owner Vincent Tan’s sons – had only received visa documentation to support a 12-month internship at Cardiff City Stadium prior to his surprise promotion in the wake of Moody’s shock departure.

But we have been told the club is confident the issue can be resolved quickly with the authorities.

Moody, manager Mackay’s right hand man, was initially suspended by the club before formally departing in a move that shook the Bluebirds boss and led to intense speculation over his future.

But meetings with chairman Mehmet Dalman appeared to have calmed the waters for the time being, owner Tan giving the manager his unequivocal backing following a crunch board meeting.

Tan had been expected to travel from Malaysia for Sunday’s derby showdown with Swansea, setting up the prospect of a first face-to-face meeting with Mackay since the Moody-Apsalyamov row blew up.

Cardiff scout Alisher Apsalyamov steps aside during visa query

Alisher Apsalyamov, the 23-year-old Kazakh who became Cardiff City's head of recruitment, has stepped aside temporarily over a visa issue.

BBC Sport understands immigration officials spoke to the club about his work permit on Tuesday.
The club are believed to be confident any issues will be resolved quickly.

Cardiff shocked fans last month when they replaced Iain Moody with Apsalyamov, who was formerly at the club on work experience.

A Home Office spokesperson told BBC Sport: "We do not routinely comment on individual cases.
"Any allegation that an individual has breached the terms of their visa will be investigated."

Ok, so Carl said there was bad news, people speculated about what it was so Carl updated his post to embarrassing news after the usual witch hunt and abuse, he later confirmed the facts about a visa issue, looks like the got most of the facts correct and didn't deserve the pelters he had.

Don't see this as BAD BAD NEWS or embarrassing news & I didn't see it on the back page of the Sun today... As was also claimed.

Also, if it was correct all along (which it wasn't) why was everything locked, deleted and admitted as being wrong.

Hmmmmm

No he hasn't. He claimed BAD BAD NEWS & left it at that, looking for hits etc & then changed it to embarrassing news & then said it was good news that this guy hasn't got a visa.

He also claimed it was going to back all over the back of today's edition of the Sun.

What proceeded then was a massive cover up of his posts and mass deletion of anyone or anything that was negative about them. & people say tan is a dictator?

He was wrong to post in the way he did, he was wrong with his ITK crap & his antics are giving this forum a bad name amongst a City fans and causing unnecessary unrest amongst supporters etc. during a time where the club really doesn't need it's own fans causing issues when that crackpot in charge is doing enough on his own.

What happened last night was totally irresponsible.

It's further evidence that certain people who are making decisions at our club are complete fucktards.

Think Malky should walk as he does not to deserve to put up with this nonsense.

I said last night that I was told there was bad news coming and when I posted it I knew very little other than being told that it was going to be on the back of the Sun paper, I clearly kept posting and updating what I was learning as I was making phone calls to find out what this 'bad news' story was, it became clear that it was about the painter not having the correct visa, which I believed to be more embarrassing and probably seen in general as good news by City fans.

He also claimed it was going to back all over the back of today's edition of the Sun.
I will have to tell the sports editor at the Sun, next time they plan to line up a story for the paper regarding Cardiff City not to dare to pull it as I have already told people it will be reported.

What proceeded then was a massive cover up of his posts and mass deletion of anyone or anything that was negative about them. & people say tan is a dictator?
Anyone who was negative did not have posts deleted, only those who were abusive.

The ITK crap that proved to be correct.

What happened last night was totally irresponsible.

On other peoples part, yes I agree. Going on this forum, Facebook and Twitter claiming Malky had walked/Quit was irresponsible, glad I never did any of that.

There's no problem here
This guy only painted a bit of steelwork whereas at ninian park I cut welded, installed and painted the steelwork to take the spar advertising banners in the spar stand.
This makes me significantly more qualified bearing in mind I've played not only FIFA 13 but was a whizz at subutteo in my younger days.
I have no visa issues and expect to be appointed head of recruitment at tans earliest convenience over the weekend
